@Battisstatus Iāve had the semi scare too many times to count at Albany. Iāve also returned the favor a time or two with a giant block on 2.
Current driver set up is a point of contention. I had a Ping G430, but on my return home from AZ in April, the baggage handlers felt it looked better in two pieces. Havenāt had time to get it replaced, so Iāve gone vintage with my old Cleveland SL290.

I had one of the strangest days of my life at a course yesterday. Decided with a few buddies to make a last minute twilight round at Emerald Greens (mistake #1).
We get there and grab a ālargeā bucket for 7 dollars. It was about 35 balls.
Move to the range, and there is a tractor spraying fert or pesticides, whatever itās fine. Heās far enough away.
At one point he stops his tractor, gets out, and yells at me for hitting while heās crossing. Ok, again whatever, I didnāt hit when he was within 50ā of my line, but Iāll give him more space.
He keeps getting closer. And the wind switches directions. One patron is kind enough to walk out and tells the man spraying that heās now hitting us all with these chems.
The man in the tractor then gets out, and these 2 grown ass men start yelling at each other. The maintenance guy threatens multiplier times to āfuck him upā and ābest the shit out of himā, and then gets back in his tractor and continue to dust us all with chemicals from literally 10 feet away.
Me and my buddy kindly let the pro shop know what happened, and that there would for sure be other people coming into complain about being literally crop dusted, and that their worker was threatening to fight a customer. They say āok we will let management knowā.
We then go to the 1st tee. And keep in mind we havenāt gotten significant rain here in a long ass time. The tee box is rough length. Whatever, it was $18 to walk. Hit our drives, fairways are the same. 0 height difference between the fairways and rough, just a little color difference. Greens are shaggy as shit.
We get to the 6th hole and a man is mowing the green as we are hitting our approach shots, and he waves us up, and continues to mow.
We get to the green to put, and he literally mows across my line. And continues to mow as we are hitting our putts.
There is more to this round (including some cross country golfers) but Iāll save it, this already is a long ass post. Iāll probably never be returning out there. Theyāve spent literally millions of dollars putting in a new cart barn, new carts, and a wedding venue, but canāt do basic upkeep on the course.

Crazy!!
The condition of the course has gone to shit lately. Iāve only golfed there 2 - 3 times in the last year and each time noticed the severe downturn in conditioning. I remember playing there 3 or 4 years ago and the greens were usually in good/really good condition.

Does anyone have a friend/relative/co-worker who would want to fill the last spot in the Beaver Pelt for us on Saturday? Iām guessing Pioneer is going to be playing really firm, so itās going to be a treat!

First and second time of the day at keller is available on Sunday. Not sure how that keeps happening but those early Sunday times are going slowly.

Require golfers to pass a basic etiquette test to obtain a license to golf. I think some European countries do this. I know itās a sarcastic question but I am also very sick of not finding tee times. Iām also very sick of golfers not knowing the basic rules, fixing divots, or not understanding how to keep up with the groups ahead.

Feels like there are 8 million leagues at every course too, which reduces the tee times significantly, not only to all of the times being taken for league, but all the ones online that get are reduced to 9 holes because they tee them off either the back nine or both nines. Iām definitely butthurt but man itās tiresome
Might just stay at the purple hawk the rest of my life.
