Ah good to know, thanks. I just knew I wasn’t the one picking lol.
Regardless, if anyone wants to play let me know!

Lemme know when you’re planning to see Pfau and I’ll join you. You can book there anytime now, too, once you know your dates.
Sick! Good to know also, I went ahead and booked 10:12AM for 2 people. Can update to 4 if needed, but wasn’t sure how many refugees were in the area & available on Memorial Day.
Looks like anything prior to 10AM is blocked off for students/alumni/members?
So May 26 for Pfau, right? Lookin forward to it!
Yessir, can’t wait! Been wanting to get there since they redid it.
Pumped. I need to get up to Ann Arbor and see U of M
Can be arranged pretty easily if you give a shout! I live 10 mins away, but unfortunately not alumni haha. Plenty in the FCF though
Any Broadmoor or Highland members on the forum? We moved to Meridian Kessler from downtown and our kids (1 & 4) are getting big enough that I’m considering joining somewhere close to home. We joined the Rivi for pool access, so a membership would be purely for golf. Broadmoor’s design / greens are appealing, but the indoor practice facility at Highlight might sway my decision.
Interested to hear opinions.
Not a broadmoor member, but have a friend there. Have played a handful of times. Gonna slide in your DM’s to exchange info.
Welcome to Indy!
Hey all,
I’m doing a little solo golf trip and will be at Warren on June 4th 5th. Grabbing a spot in the 9 AM tee time but there are 3 left, so I wanted to put it out to the group and see if anyone else will be around.
Hey guys, it seems like the FCF won’t be able to fill their roster for the Rust Belt Rumble at the end of June. Before we fill their roster in with OATW members, I want to open it up to Crossroads Coop members. So far they only have one open spot, but they have none on the wait list, and I’m sure more will drop out. I’ve linked the post below, and if you have any questions, feel free to post in the thread or dm me
We all know @papateeps is a Flocker at heart.
I hold many honorary titles and Flocker is near the top
Popping in here because I’m heading to a conference in Indy the first week of October. Won’t be able to play any golf unfortunately but looking for food and drink recs. Looking for spot to watch CFB Saturday night and NFL on Sunday plus any dinner spots. Usually one night of dinner is a 15-20 person steakhouse dinner on the boss’ dime.
All help is appreciated. Haven’t been there since the 2011 Big Ten Championship game where Russell Wilson ripped my heart out.
Happen to know what part of Indy you’re gonna be in mostly?
Believe the hotel is near Lucas Oil Stadium but not 100% sure.
Steakhouse - hard to beat Harry & Izzys. St Elmos is everyone’s go to but feels kinda touristy, paying more for the name and experience.
Ramen - recently had Kyuramen open up, fun place near the stadium
Beer hall - Rathskeller is amazing for big groups. Lots of selections, big outdoor patio, sometimes has live music going. Really fun and laid back place.
Burger - Fat Dans. Very partial to the one up on N College Ave but I’m guessing the one downtown is just as amazing. Chicago themed, always has sports going. Get a big thing of fries to share with the table, everything is served on massive parchment paper.
Sports bar - Killroys of course, classic college bar. District Tap in the same block. The Hangar is a great time, always busy. Chatham Tap, soccer pub, kinda on the small side but has rotating tap selection.
Italian - Mama Carolla’s. Get the garlic bread, it’s incredible, loaded with cheese.
Some good recs above. As a Broad Ripple guy and Bears fan, I think the Fat Dan’s on College is definitely better than the one downtown, as that’s where the real Bears fans go. My Colts fans friend have enjoyed watching games with me there on Sundays just for the people watching when the Bears inevitably gag a game away.
St. Elmo is definitely the touristy move but still worth it if the boss is willing to shell out, just to say you’ve been there. But Harry and Izzy’s down the street has most of the same menu (same ownership group), including all the staples. 1933 Lounge above St. Elmo is my wife and I’s go-to with smaller groups (no reservations, first come-first serve), but probably not big enough if you’re rolling 15+ deep for dinner.
I’d avoid the downtown restaurants and hang out in the various neighborhoods on the outskirts of downtown.
Just walking along Mass Ave is worth one night for food/drinks. Fountain Square is also a good area for food/drink.
Even taking a quick uber to the main strip of Speedway would get you good, local breweries.
If you have a car, lots of other options we could throw out.
Very selfish reason, always looking for more myself
