Might be the virtues?
First two holes at The Virtues are a true kick in the teeth.

Business trip week! Work took me to beautiful Jacksonville Florida for my first ever time to the state, and I had the good fortune that work ended early on Tuesday.
Was lucky to be hosted by local @maggator at St Johns GCC for an evening 18 in absolutely perfect weather.
Manged to burn through both sleeves of bridgestones I brought from home over 18 holes, dunking the last one on the 18th hole, luckily my host had plenty to spare. The abundance of water lined fairways in Florida didn’t surprise me, but it still did some damage.
Today, work also ended blissfully early, and at the suggestion of some fellow refugees I made my way over to the Sawgrass Area and tee’d it up at The Yards, a 12 hole course with a bunch of par 3s and all matter of unique holes. (Also been in a bunch of YouTube videos)
Started with 2 sleeves again, and the only reason I made it to the end was I found a few extra balls. I still tossed the last one in the water next to 12 after putting out, just to be consistent.
And then, since I was there, I wandered around the The TPC Sawgrass for a bit. I was still in my golf shorts and sporing my subtle dog logo, so I didn’t manage to draw any attention as I slowly looped around the club house.
Oh man, what a treat. I played Belmont in VA, site of the 1949 PGA (the only men’s major contested in VA), which is now 12 holes + a First Tee + 6-hole par-three course (par 66 for the 18)… a Tillinghast/Ross… that was incredible.
My friend paid $25 to play it!
Awesome. I’ve been interested to play here since I heard about it a couple years ago. Just don’t find myself in VA often. Glad to hear it didn’t disappoint.
Good meeting you! Enjoyed it!
Hang it in the Louvre!
Added a trip to Charleston on the back end of Augusta, which could only mean trying to play at the Muni. Thursday had an absolute downpour, so there was a lot of standing water throughout (very Strapped-esqe). The day cleared up relatively quickly and was scenic on the back nine. As the Strapped video showed, the greens were tricky and despite all the rain, that day rolled fast and true. I tried to play a twilight round with our group to show how awesome it was to our SOs but the pro shop wasn’t doing rentals that late — just another reason to go back with my bag.
@David_is_Goliath What an amazing day we had! Great golfing with you as always. See you soon on the links!!!
Played a couple RACDG NorCal matches this last weekend and got mollywhopped. First one was up at Apple Mountain above a Sacramento vs @k-yan. We got snowed on, which was a first for me. Fun, quirky course. Lost 2&1.
On Sunday, @AirmanA3 and I got out to Foxtail South, an unspectacular but fun Muni that cost us $32 on a Sunday morning. Course #227 for me. Lost 3&2.
@Soly Where did you play this week?
Drove up to Bulle Rock yesterday; easily my favorite course in Maryland. They are hosting the Big Ten Women’s Championship this weekend and yesterday was the last day they were open before it. Course was in fantastic shape from tee to green and they have grown the rough up for the tournament to make it even more challenging then it already is.
Pics or it didn’t happen
Right? At this point, I think he was lying. And it won’t be proven otherwise until photo evidence is provided.
Epic day for a joint Roost event dubbed The Fore20 between the Capital GC and Charm City Collective at Worthington Manor in Urbana, MD. Course routinely hosts the US Qualifier for MD and the greenery was hitting hard. We @HWattsy even made sick logos! I hope this crew can get it together some day!!
RIP @Fore20
