One for the plug and for the load
Did not see any damages - however the locker room has two floors and 5 million lockers so I didn’t complete a thorough inspection
The blowpig’s damage was not fixed as of two weeks ago.
First - it’s so petty Oakmont hasn’t fixed this and just waited for the reimbursement as punishment.
Second - it’s incredible and I’m loving it
I’ll give everyone an update in late October on this locker.
Radrick Farms was so special!
Unbelievably grateful and fortunate @reyvaldez was on the lens and got this amazing shot of me that’ll definitely need to be a framer (my wife who hates golf said so and was in awe)!
Just got done with a 4 round trip around Wisconsin with my brother.
Round 1: Erin Hills
What a big ballpark for golf! I really like the course even if I think there’s a couple of weak holes. We had a great caddie which helped the experience a lot and found every ball as I just refused to stop hitting it right off the tee.
Round 2: Lawsonia Links
If I lived within an hour of this course, I would play it every weekend. A really fun set of greens and a lot of different lies/angles you have to account for when approaching the green.
Round 3: SentryWorld
While it’s my least favorite course of the trip, it’s your standard, solid RTJ golf course. The amenities are unmatched though with all F&B on course included in your golf fee. Shout out to the Philly Cheesesteak at the turn.
Round 4: Mammoth Dunes
I may schedule PTO every year just to fly to Wisconsin to play here and fly home right after. What a fun golf course! Sure it’s overly forgiving in parts and not very strategic but it makes up for it in just letting you fire for glory no matter where you are. Love, love, love.

Better than the golf course - The weather today and Ipswich is on final approach for Logan.

Today was a good day and I shot a 93
Technically did not play it but I guess folks will still appreciate seeing some more extensive on-course pictures of CPC so here you go. Adding a few snaps from Pebble & Pasa

Made it a point to walk the course back to front during lunch. I feel very confident in saying it’s truly the best course in the world and it’s not particularly close.
Late on Saturday I moved back to #14 Green when Baker/Sumy came through and an absolutely SICK scene unfolded. Match A/S at this point. Pin on the back right. Baker’s approach went just through the green, he had a decent amount of green to work with but just couldn’t get his chip to stop and ran it by 10-ish feet. Greens had gotten US-Open-level-shiny at that point. Sumy had a 30-ish feet birdie putt across the green - this 100% should have been a two-putt-situation for him, could have well been good enough to win the hole. But his fairly aggressive putt just wouldn’t stop, kept trickling and eventually went over the back. His ball ended up about 20yards from the hole and 8-10 feet beneath the level of the green surface. Actually hit a decent shot from there but he was still away and proceeded to putt it off the green again. Did not see him winning 1up from there, that took some serious mental strength.

(On #18 it was much darker than my camera makes it look.)
Nothing new here but I agree with many that the inland holes are pretty underwhelming. Holes 6-10 are great, obviously. I really liked #4, it’s a lot more uphill than TV makes you think and builds anticipation for what’s to come.
Personally I thought Pebble was a good (maybe great) experience, especially playing into the sunset with very little wind all day was wonderful. For my taste the greens were just too small. If you manage to actually hit them your putts subsequently often do not have a lot of movement in them.
Anyway it’s certainly one of the premier championship venues (if set up correctly). That being said, I would rate Pasa at least a full tier higher from a GCA standpoint…
Last week a group of us from our local chat (at this point it’s a mix of people still in the refuge, people who are no longer here, and people who have never been here) went down to NC to play Mid Pines, Pine Needles, and Southern Pines. On Friday, a group of us played Hyland in the morning before Mid Pines and someone went over to Talamore. On Saturday, half the group went to Tobacco Road in the afternoon while the rest of us played #3 and spent some time on Thistle Dhu.
I organized a similar trip two years ago for 8 of us, this year we did 16. It’s never going to be enough spots, at this point I’m friends with so many people in our local group that I could easily fill up a much larger trip.
First, the courses: They’re absolutely as good as you hope they are. I think the four par 3s from MP and PN would all be in my top 10. It was my first time on #3, and it was a perfect afternoon round.

Second, the group:
I know most people here have other, non-internet golf friends that they play with and go on trips with. I don’t. Prior to joining here, 98% of my golf was played with my FIL and two BILs. Now I’ve been on two trips down to NC, two trips to Myrtle, Bandon, and two trips to Landmand, with many people who are now some of my best friends. A lot of the internet truly sucks, but some of it is good.
I’ve said some version of this same thing at least 10 times on here, but if you’re someone who just likes to hang out on the board and you’re not sure about playing with some of the folks from here in real life, do it.
Awesome, I lived in Cincinnati 2010-2016 when I was not as much of a golf sicko as I am now. Kicking my younger self for not bidding on my company’s internal charity auction for a round with the CEO.
First (and hopefully not last) trip to Pinehurst this week. Wish I would have taken the time to take more photos but was admittedly awestruck.

Having not hit with a crowd ever, having 108 yards into 18 with a veranda of people cheering (or booing in my case) made me much more of a Rory than a Bryson. Finishing bogey notwithstanding, I encourage everyone to make a trip to the village. It’s worth it.
Huge shout out to @FatGinella for the Kingsley invite. What a fun mind bendy golf course. Even after degreening a few times still had just an absolute blast.
Man, this angle into #9 is way better than the angle we had on Wednesday from the right!
We looped in the afternoon and played it from the other side as well. I definitely preferred this angle.
