Cleeve Hill Golf Club Cheltenham, England. 8th visit to London, Scotland or UK and finally played my first round of golf. Old rental clubs, guess-timating distances, blind shots and struggles to find the next tee box…but one of the best rounds of golf ever. Old Tom Morris design, sweeping views and even a golf course dog - Fergus. Starting to plan a golf only trip now!
photos of the French Lick courses continue to seem like they still somehow don’t do the courses justice. Looks like a great trip!
I feel like theres no way those monkeys dont steal golf balls from time to time.
Erin Hills last week. The first major championship course I’ve had the pleasure of playing. What a fun walk.
Dobson Ranch not a major venue?

Trust me, they don’t, but I’m so much more jealous of your trip to Crooked Stick honestly! Haha, (would absolutely love to visit French Lick with @kmcswain again though).
Mea culpa. You’re absolutely correct.
My friend @sundaybag and I had a good one yesterday at Walker Cup media day.
Edit: sadly did not see any membership literature lying around
Don’t worry, I’m sure it’s in the mail! Should get there any day!
Smart of Cypress to run Walker Cup Media Day the same day that 90% of golf media are descending on Northern Ireland for The Open. How many people were out there besides you two?
I’d pay you $90/year.
Maybe some of those pod ideas from the HDH WhatsApp should come to life?
I have to think that was precisely the point. There were groups on 8 holes, I believe? Not all foursomes—Benny and I were a two ball. Maybe 20-25 media people?
Have you tried qualifying for the Walker Cup team?
I can’t even qualify for the NIT on merit!
That makes two of us!
You could use that putter all over Cypress!
and this confirms the Refuge as a whole is on one hell of a heater. I’m sure you enjoyed that immensely.
Has it done anything but rain here in the last six months?
