Trap Draw: Chicago

Would be nice if the interview was with a chicago native and not a transplant

I mentioned Small Cheval in my Best Of list :). Did you go to the one in Wicker? The previous establishment before Small Cheval was an amazing pizza place. Can’t remember the name of it now.

Paddy Long’s bacon bomb deserved a mention too

Lou Malnati’s for pizza or nothing

Lou’s is the best of the chains, but if you haven’t tried Art of Pizza on Ashland, you need to go.

Ew. Really? Pequod’s is so much better. And they don’t pre-make their pizzas like the do at Lou’s and Ginos East.

A second for Pequods. The charred crust is amazing. It burned down in 2008 or so, a few months before I moved. Sad.

Another big thank you for having the correct opinion about Cubs fans. Listen, I know there’s good ones in the bunch. I’ve simply yet to encounter them. As a former Arizona resident and frequent spring training attendee I’ve had my fill of Cubs fans to last a life time. Their newish stadium in Mesa is sick though. If I ever visit Chicago would I go to Wrigley Field? FERSURRE.

It smells like piss, just a heads up.

That’s what I’d expect from a facility full of Cubs fans.

On behalf of all Cubs fans, f u.

With all due respect I hereby rest my case.

You rest your case because you make a comment about expecting a facility of Cubs fans to smell like piss and a Cubs fan tells you to f off. Were you expecting something different?

No, in fact this was exactly what I was expecting.

Good, then fuck you.

Again, exactly what I expected based on all prior experiences.

While I couldn’t go to a Sox-Cubs game this year, I’m glad I just got a taste of the in-person experience.

No takers on pizanos? Feel like they run the spectrum for Chicago style pizzas.

The pizza place was Roxie’s (by the Slice).
