just audacious. all the way around.
Just finished it yesterday after not seeing it in years. I still love it. Cheesy but awesome.
Heat was 1995. The Schusters cannot be more wrong on the golden age of action movies.
How old was @MerchCzar? Five? Its kind of a miracle that he watched any of these movies. Probably had to sneak them under the franchise’s nose.
I stopped listening to this podcast 15 minutes in. Not good.
I was 9. If you’re going to make their claim, you better have done the work.
They didn’t do the work.
U shouldn’t have been watching them either!
Cool man!
You guys mentioned later in the pod that the golden age is personal and informed by when you grew up.
I enjoyed the nostalgia of it.
I know it was the early 90’s and thus didn’t qualify but the greatest movie of all time should have been mentioned
Top 10 for me…
Documentary on that was pretty interesting.,
@iacas bringing a lot of negative energy to the 'fuge between this, the incessant Tobacco Road hate (which I’m not sure we need to dig into), and just your general demeanor. The fact that you didn’t like this pod makes me happy.
Rewatching The Rock. LOVE the 40+ mph underwater sea scooters. Need one of those.
I’m sure Bird and Lime are looking into this. Sea scooters laying all over the Jax Beach.
Red Heat
Rambo(s)
Kickboxer
Big Trouble in Little China Town
Indiana Jones (pick your favourite)
Audi S8 sales must have gone through the roof after Ronin.
The phone call audio made it tough to listen to, and I didn’t care about the topic very much. I might skip the Donkey Kong one, too… we’ll see. Might not be up my alley. My time to listen to podcasts is limited, so if something isn’t holding my interest, I skip to the next thing.
TR is overrated, and DJ’s play helps back up much of what I’d been saying about it. Caledonia and True Blue are both better Strantz courses, with Caledonia edging out TB in my book.
Agreement on everything is boring, and I’m glad I could bring some joy to your day. Crack on.
