Only thing missing from tonight was going to the bath house/ steakhouse that they featured on Ugly Delicious.
Fantastic opener fellas! Perhaps a very dumb question, but I’m curious if the NLU crew has already seen these eps before they premier or if there’s a few curveballs that @djpie sneaks through the final edit process to keep everyone on their toes (no pun intended @Randy)
We all review them to varying degrees. Sometimes I don’t like to though because I enjoy seeing them fresh like everybody else.
Check the tape. Randy said 6,000. I said 4200.
Lovely episode boys!
Some are saying the slo-mo shots of @Randy ‘s feet were an Easter egg for the Silk Road guis. #nokinkshaming
I love that idea! It’s almost like your experiencing the course again for the first time(in most cases). I really love how you guys emphasize more than just golf on all these trips. Wish every episode was an hour long, but I’m guessing I’d still want a longer episode!
Great to see you get that first win! Hope to see the momentum building each week!!!
Great work by all and to @djpie for bringing it all together. Just love the introspective look at Detroit as I have only experienced the Airport there.
Borderline reckless of The Big Guy/Defending Champ/@Randy tango-ing in flip flops.
Head on a swivel! Be prepared! Play/dance like a champion!
AEDST matches up quite nicely
@djpie having not golfed in 2 months is concerning. You OK Pieman?!?!?!
Really excited to see the @Tron & @Soly match in the next episode, Tron’s RH swing looks incredibly dialed.
@Tron I’m guessing you were the one to get it given your family trip, but nice to see Crystal Downs show up in a drone shot. You got the entire front 9, plus 10 and 18. Very cool. I’m also assuming your fade worked well out there.
Anyone else get a kick out of @djpie pimp snapping at his chips when they go long?
I didn’t even notice it, until my wife mentioned why they hell is he snapping at his chips!
You do have to respect the attention given to Detroit-style pizza. Those of you who prefer NY- or Chicago-style can have it. Give me Detroit-style pizza every single time.
Buddys is so good too! I was very excited when we got one on the West side of the state
I’m far from an expert on Michigan, but having played a fair amount of golf there, I would absolutely make Michigan my home (my wife feels differently).
My personal favorites in Michigan are Oakland Hills (South) and Kingsley Club (shoutout @wseitz26), which coincidentally are the courses I have played multiple times courtesy of friends who are members.
I also have played Detroit GC, Indianwood (Old), Lost Dunes, and Egypt Valley. But I have a lot more golf I want to play in Michigan, in particular Orchard Lake, Forest Dunes, Belvedere, and Greywalls.
