Tourist Sauce Season 7: Michigan Wine and Dine

Really respect the fielding form there at the 19:25 mark @Tron. Kept the head down, got the arm up in a good firing position, body weight moving toward the target - textbook. Tom Emanski would be proud.

Went to college about 3-4 hours away. Perfect trip was leaving Friday afternoon, staying up all night, aside from about 2 hours of sleep, and leaving the next morning. Just the right amount of time.

I don’t know that it’s fairways or lost balls exactly, but keep in mind that there’s a fair amount of width. It’s not super tight. And the holes that are on the tighter side are holes where you’re hitting something less than driver. It may be tough to find balls in the trees, but the native is pretty playable, and the back nine isn’t overtreed.

There’s some risk-reward out there as well, but it’s probably tough to see on one time around. If you challenge the left side on four, you’re left with a shorter approach. You can go for the green on five, but you risk some trouble either side. On seven if you try to hit over the rocks, you can end up right on top like Randy did. It’s not in your face with forced carries, but there are some places where you can get aggressive.

TC and DJ are some of the funniest and most creative people I’ve ever been around.

The effort they put forth on that day makes Amy Shumer look like (prime) Dave Chappelle. They weren’t even trying! It was just the same comment on every hole! Every single one of them!

On the 8th hole (a short par 4) when @Soly went to the scorecard and said ā€œDid you make 4?ā€ and I said, ā€œNo, I made parā€ I legit thought he was going to punch me in the face.

Was it a bit just to rib Soly or last day of the trip fatigue? Can’t imagine it’s fun to drive 3+ hours then get beat up by Greywalls on the last day of a trip.

To quote @soly ā€œSee that would have been good contentā€

Has @soly never played with any kind of golfer before? It isn’t fun if you aren’t making the same joke over and over again.

It seemed like they started it to have some fun amongst themselves, and then once it started to piss off @soly, they took it to another level.

Especially since it’s one of the few comics she didn’t steal jokes from

Congrats on the win @MerchCzar and @treeputttim - DM me your Venmo info sir! What a way to top off the season. Greywalls looks amazing. Gutted for my guy Big but you gave him a good run!

Watching it back I loved the quote from Neil sitting on the bench. ā€œI feel like I did too many drugs at a concert and I’m a little uncomfortableā€. I laughed so hard at that. Still am honestly lol

Great season boys, and congrats to @MerchCzar on a well-deserved victory. Hard not to pull for him since I have felt his struggles in my soul dating back to the strapped Baltimore episode where he was fighting to get under par at Forest Park. I know that feel bro!

Also agree with the others - that Greywalls looks like an exercise in masochism. And @Soly looked absolutely miserable most of the way

You’re a gentleman! Gonna spend it in the NLU proshop since I’d be nowhere without the Yung Czar. The mental toughness he showed this season taking out his Strapped Brother (and the defending champ) twice, not to mention his actual brother was truly impressive.

I’m sincerely love Mike DeVries, and his work.

I did not like Greywalls. If you couldn’t tell.

I feel like you’re just upset about the 3 wood dummy mark… It’s ok to admit it.

In all seriousness, that place looks like a real riddle at times.

The front 9 at Greywalls definitely keeps a gimp. The back, maybe just nipple clamps and a riding crop. It’s fun and beautiful to see. But as the boys said, you have to be careful. Aggressive shots can be death and conservative shots can be aggressive. If you like kickers and bounces you have to check it out.

The Heritage course at the Marquette GC is pure fun and way more approachable. The staff is great and the people are great. Marquette in the summer is awesome!

I hope @Tron and the infrastructure gang got to check out the ore docks. Amazing to see the freighters in the lake

Graywalls is in the ā€œgirls named Tiffanyā€ section of the hot/crazy scale.
