The Supper Club - NLU Wisconsin Roost - 2025 Event Schedule is LIVE Post 345

Brown Deer #11 simply for the fact that it consistently backs up three groups on the tee and there doesn’t seem to be a solution. It’s infuriating. I’m usually sitting there ripping heaters and the Hamm’s I just got at the turn for 30-40 min.

That sounds like a feature, not a bug.

@Badger_Wisco still standing by The Bull #11 should be on this list?

I would say that’s the county’s fault for having 8 minute tee gaps and no ranger to push play along. I avoid Brown Deere on the weekends after 9am for exactly this reason.

The hole overall is a good hole. A bit of a reverse Redan that puts an emphasis on carry distance. If your short, it is not bounding up and on, and will probably land in a bunker. The green is a pringle shape with some good slope, but you can use that slope to funnel your ball to the pin. Overall, it is a well designed hole.

Yes, but I don’t have time at the moment to write up my reasons why. I will try to have something by this evening.

I think this speaks for itself (Barbara, these people still hate split fairways)

I’m going to address a wrong here, the Blackwolf Run River Course needs to get flamed. I present hole 11.

A super long, terrible par 5 that is fine off the tee, is too far to go for the green (for most gui’s) and thus requires a super awkward layup on the 2nd shot. Green is boring, will be in most photos of the course though by the water, but due to the stupid layup, weird trees poking out everywhere, stinks of a hole stuck in to make the routing work which is the theme of most of the 9 holes squeezed in to make the River Course.

Fuckin’ Herb Kohler

Also, you know out of pure fandom I’ll never bring myself to vote for a Dye hole. :joy:

I don’t disagree about the hole’s design, but our criteria for worst hole isn’t specifically defined and waiting 30-40 min on a regular to play this well designed hole is my reason for its nomination. I actually love the green.

I understand where you’re coming from, but outside of maybe 1 or 2 holes the River Course 5 - 13 are trash

I already forgot to toast holes 5, 8, and 9 but 11 and 13 will not be spared. 13 especially

The river course not having a black/blue or blue/green combo set is just another in the long list of reasons it shouldn’t ever be played.

The original 9 holes are awesome, the 9 holes created in the picture I just posted were squeezed in to make something work, terrible I have no idea why this costs more than the Meadows, Irish, and Championship Course, and why many people who stay at the resort say it’s their favorite course of all 4

Because like most things Kohler, more expensive means better.

Oh thank God you debunked this, I was worried I would have to finally weigh in here.

This isn’t even just their golf courses. You have plenty of the other goods and services to lean on for more evidence too.

Fair point. At least the 5-11 house is right there so you can get a hot dog (no ketchup @mikedabomb) and a High Life

While this is true, i don’t care what they charge for the foie gras at The Immigrant. That is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten.
