I’m abstaining from this whole exercise. The winter is depressing enough around here, I don’t need to relive the shitty holes in the State.

But no. 10 MV is right next to 10 LL as best holes in the State.

What is the worst hole #2 in WI?

  • Branch River #2
  • Lawsonia Woodlands #2
  • Westridge GC #2
  • Grant Park #2

Westridge GC takes it for #2. Also after looking back at some of our Discord discussions prior to poll and my error in closing it, we will be giving The Oaks the tiebreaker for worst hole #1. Though I must say Thornberry #1 is also atrocious. Here is where we stand:

#1 The Oaks par 4 - 353 yds
#2 Westridge GC par 5 - 476 yds

Nominations for worst hole #3?

I’ll start, Rock River Country Club #5 (I do not acknowledge the re-brand it did recently). Can I interest you in a long par 5, tree lined fairway with two ponds pinching your landing zone about 100 out and a massive tree blocking the right 3/4 of the green.

#3 at Fox Hills Red (now terribly called Par 5 Resort), a place close to my and @kcurry11 heart. This abomination of a par 5 requires a drive squeezed between two sets of dense woods into a 22 yard wide fairway. That dot in the fairway is 235 from the tee box, which has a tree on the right side of it, preventing you from slinging a draw into the shape of the fairway. You’re then left with about 270 into the green up the narrow chute.

My dad once made a 13 on this hole and I’m pretty sure I have everything from an eagle to a 10 on it.

Fox Hills!! I spent many drunken winter nights there shooting paintball guns at other drunk idiots

There might be 3 holes on the front 9 at Fox hills that can be on this list. I can’t wait for 6 and 8 for Blue. Just some absolutely awful golf holes.
But this place shaped me into the man I am today, so I have to thank it.

Fox Hills has plenty more nominations coming but like you, have to love it. Thought about White #1 for a nomination but I talked myself into thinking that hole is awesome. Just an incredibly frustrating 230 yard par 4 to start your round.

By best 9 hole rounds in highschool started with a mega 4 on that after flushing it in the water with a 7 iron.

Is that the one to the right of the driving range?

Yeah, right outside the pro shop. Lot of fun hitting a short iron into the fairway and then trying to feather a high partial wedge to a small green perched above several deep bunkers when you have no feel to start your round.

When I was coaching high school golf and the local high school would host here, that was always the opening hole for the JV teams. It was always amazing the wide variety of scores you’d see from 3’s to 9’s (always capped scores at 5 over par per hole)

Kenosha Country Club

A par 3 that generally plays 150 yards with an increase in elevation of 70 feet to a perched green. Massive false front and a large runoff in the back. Four deep bunkers are instant bogies if reached. Miss short, awful second shot from the large slope. Miss long is the only miss, but will have to stop the ball on a dime before reaching the false front. Birdies only come with a perfect shot, pars will require you to hit a spot within a 10 yard by 15 yard area.

Not to mention, many errant shots from the second hole put the third tee box in the danger zone.

This green looks like it’s the size of a pool table

Can’t put my finger on why but something tells me you’re familiar with this miss…
