Is that a promise?
You have to bring your own High Lifes. Oh, and the blog doesn’t make any money…
I have both started on and finished on that hole in high school matches. Finishing it’s kind of awesome. Finish up and hoof it straight on the bus. But had a couple of group mates put em into the parking lot when it was their first swing of the day
Time to vote, worst hole #3?
- Rock River #3
- Fox Hills #3
- Kenosha CC #3
Late to this thread but I honestly thought when I started reading it was just going to say “The Oaks 1-18” and then we were moving on to another discussion.
at least 8-14.
Will close this poll tomorrow AM, last chance to get a vote in
Poll closed, Kenosha CC takes it. Results so far:
#1 The Oaks par 4 - 353 yds
#2 Westridge GC par 5 - 476 yds
#3 Kenosha CC par 3 - 130 yds
Suggestions for hole #4?
Wanaki #4 and #5 are both terrible holes.
The Bull has entered the chat. Short par 5, with houses very much in play on the left as the yardage book literally says the ideal line is cutting the bunkers on the left, to the most defended green I’ve ever seen. Super deep greenside bunkers on 3 sides, green that slopes FRONT to BACK deflecting all shots from deep, and super tall trees everywhere. What is supposed to be a getable par 5 becomes a short, super defended hole that doesn’t reward the aggressive play. More on The Bull to come
Time to vote, worst hole #4?

#2 Westridge GC par 5 - 476 yds
#3 Kenosha CC par 3 - 130 yds
#4 The Bull par 5 - 493 yds
Suggestions for hole 5?
Not a huge fan of Whitnall Park #5.
You could throw out Blue #5 at Mascoutin. Not a fan of that hole at all. Or get really crazy and do #5 on Straits.
#5 at DeSmidt’s in Crivitz
It was just up for sale…
It also has quite a few holes that could make this list.
Our family cabin is about 10 minutes away (near Little Newton Lake)
Provocative, I like it. Agreed on both.
I’m also gonna say #5 The Bull is terrible, but so is most of the course
I’d like to prematurely offer up Kettle Hills as the worst #6 in the state.
#5 at Kettle Moraine Golf Club - Worst Hole on the Course
Requires a 190-210y shot off of the tee into the middle of the fairway or slightly middle-left. If not there, you’ll be completely blocked out by trees and forced to lay-up. 2nd shot to an elevated green that runs back to front, so likely ending up off of the back of the green onto the cart path that is 3ft behind the green
I don’t think that’s crazy at all that hole is stupid and doesn’t fit the course.
