The Standoff at Sand Creek -- Supercell vs. GPGC

You are in for a treat. The Ambassador is fantastic and down on the first floor is perhaps my favorite restaurant in Wichita, Siena Tuscan Steakhouse. I recently read that Siena is where the first organized sit in occurred, which was then called the Dockum Drug Store. Having lived in Wichita for 35 years, this was quite the surprise to learn and read about.

I would also recommend going downstairs to the well named speakeasy, Dockum. You can grab a table or sit at the bar there.

If you’re like @Randy and enjoy musing on campus, at Wichita State you’ll find a ton of new growth since their 2013 Final Four appearance as well as the first ever Pizza Hut, which is now a museum. The new Technology Campus and dorms now reside on what was once Wichita State’s Braeburn Golf Course (RIP). A fun campus course that was always a blast to play, but was lost to a very deserving and greater good.

Another fun Wichita did you know… Freddy’s Frozen Custard began in Wichita, with their first ever restaurant near 21st and Tyler just 2 miles from where I grew up.

If anyone has any questions or wants a recommendation, just holler. I am happy to help. Looking forward to meeting everyone and enjoying Sand Creek again!
