This is a fair question!
My thoughts were, everyone bring a dozen colored balls. That will give each team 2 dozen and if you can’t make it through with 24 pellets, well, you weren’t winning this thing anyway.
Walk to where your shot landed, or at least to the best of your knowledge, search, if you can’t find it drop one no penalty. If it clearly goes out of bounds yada yada, take a penalty.
The thing that keeps coming to mind is: don’t take this too seriously, we are playing golf in Toledo OH in February on a closed golf course for free.
It will be stupid fun followed by a great hang with other golf morons at a great pizza spot with a great tap list after playing one of the most ridiculous rounds of golf of your life that will surely be a story to tell.
Think of it like ice fishing, we’re really just here for the drinks and camaraderie. Maybe you catch a bird, maybe ya don’t.

The other option I can look in to would be getting a sim spot on board. But then everyone would be paying which I don’t think would be an issue but was the thought in my brain.

With 50 sickos anything is possible

Getting a SIM spot on board for 50 people on short notice seems dicey! But you could probably pull it off.

I had a math teacher in high school who played golf every day for like a decade straight. In northern Indiana.
Wish I could ask how tf he managed deep snow when it’s hard enough to find golf balls in grass.

We have a sim place in Findlay with something like 6 bays, TV’s, and a full bar that will definitely rent the whole place out at once

might have to invest in these down the road

True, but they’re still gonna charge for 50!

Believe they charge by the hour but I could be wrong

That’s true, just divided by the number of people on the bay. So where we play sim Thursdays is like $34 an hour, so 2 hours divided by 4 for the per person rate of like $17. Maybe it would work!

Im gonna ask Brittany on Thursday what the potential could be. Would be sweet if she was working, she would be pumped.

breaking news:rotating_light:
They’ve adjusted the snow accumulation for today from 4” to 3”
We are trending in the right direction!

Planning to be there whatever it winds up being even if it’s just for pizza and some beverages (and a pit stop in MI for high-dose/low-price goodies!)

I was talking to my buddy the other day and he was telling me the pricing in Michigan. Cant believe how cheap it is up there. Amazing to me any of these places that opened in Ohio on the border have any traffic.

Convenience!
Also, sounds like these dummies down here are starting to get on board with what MI has going on. There are some changes coming to the bill.

Gonna go ahead and call it
WE ARE PLAYING GOLF OUTDOORS, SIM GOLF IS FOR COTTONHEADED NINNYMUGGINS
They’ve significantly* lowered the accumulation totals. I know the temps are still cold but the sun put in some work today so I’m comfortable calling it, also FROPEN.
I can’t suggest thermal overalls highly enough. I work outside in these temps and can honestly say the only thing affected by the temps are my hands. They are the ultimate snow gear. Shout out @theclv24 , only other person I’ve seen rock em!
I know you’re not my kids but the dad in me feels obligated to say it sternly with the intent in not taking any shit for attempting to keep you warm while you frolic in the snow: SOCKS, SNOWBOOTS, JACKET, SNOWPANTS, GLOVES, HAT!
Just typing that got the ol blood pressure goin. You may possibly meet one of the reasons for this. She might be selling girls scout cookies.
*I mean, ya know, glass half full type stuff.

Seeing this posted after my area just got 4-6" of snow last night and are likely to get 4-6" more snow Friday into Saturday has me simultaneously pumped and also scared outta my mind.
I’m going to be so bundled up it’s going to be hard to swing a club I think.

I highly recommend these. Just stick them to the bottom of your socks. They’re thin enough they don’t bother me while I’m working/walking.
