The Fresh Coast Flock proudly present the Fropen 2025. As is tradition, this will be an alt shot competition with someone you have never played golf with before, picked in the parking lot before we tee off over hot bourbon drinks. This event is more a social gathering with some golf sprinkled in. Let’s drink some adult beverages and walk around this amazing gem of a muni in the snow* then travel all of 5 minutes to the best pizza spot in the 419, potentially in the country according to certain Internet personalities.

I’m somewhat interested in coming in from Chicago. I know it’s Feb in Toledo…but if the course is covered in a foot of snow are you still playing? Like there has to be some limit to acceptable weather conditions, right?
last two years we’ve had ice and frozen spots, but very little actual snow on the ground. contingency has always been to fake play 2 or 3 holes as best you can then go drink elsewhere, but since Toledo doesn’t get snow like other areas its not as much a risk as you’d think
If it is so bad that it’s impossible, we will track down some sims. The xgolf here in Toledo is a ghost town from what I can tell. Not the greatest but there is a safety net. It will take some extreme stuff for this to happen though!
I’ve lived here for 7, going on 8 years and I don’t think I’ve ever seen that much snow on the ground either though. Certainly not in late February that I can recall.
