Respect. I could never do this. My carryon gets stuffed with extra prime lenses.

Man, I love shooting film. Nothing compares to that feeling when you see the notification pop up from the lab that your film is processed and scans are done

My daughter (7) has shown interest in photography. Do any of you have a recommendation for a beginner camera?

Anything within your budget with a button and a lens!
But seriously - a simple point and shoot camera for kiddos is how 99% of us started

Hey y’all. This thread has been part of the inspiration for me to pick up photography. I’ve never used anything more complicated then my mom’s point and shoot digital camera when I was a kid and my iphone now.
A few weeks back I impulse bought a minolta x370n film camera on the electronic bay and just got the first roll of film back. There were some duds for sure, but a few came out that I was thrilled with. I’m excited to dig in, learn, and take a bunch of pictures.
Unfortunately the camera has a light leak but I’m hoping it will be easy to fix. The foam light seal around the film canister is coming loose and needs to be glued back down.

I actually kinda like the little flare the light leak provides!
Also we ALWAYS love photos of good doggos

A couple of seasons ago - there was a big trend in football of a “floating helmet” effect. Wanted to try and replicate that at the ballpark for the marketing/graphics team to be able to play with.
Cool? Not cool?
I added an early take with my dumbass forgetting to get all the way out of frame…

I think it could be very cool, but the alignment of the helmet needs to be exactly right relative to the ground.
Football has a little more leeway since we are used to seeing helmets at all kinds of different Angles during tackles, etc.
I feel like if the helmet’s alignment makes it look like it’s falling rather than floating (my instinct is anything brim down or angled toward one earpiece) it will look more like it has been knocked off rather than floating?
I think done exactly right it will look awesome. If anyone can pull it off, it will certainly be you given the combination of your talent and dedication to your craft.

Would you like more of a straight-on look (the “C” straight on) or slighty angled to camera left or right?
This was the bat-boy’s helmet so its not weighted very well OR in the greatest of shape. Gotta see if I can ask the clubby for a player one…
I think slightly angled. Straight on might not give enough clues as to what it is (it’s the ear covers that really give it away).
