The Darkroom: general photography posts and discussion

The best camera is the one you have with you. I snapped this in my iPhone, early morning on the glassiest version of Lake Arrowhead I have ever seen.

Over the golf course the other morning. As a cool shot. A good camera could have made it an amazing picture

Do you ever feel…like a plastic bag?

That is SPECTACULAR. What did you use to get the shot?

1/10sec shutter speed at F9 and 200 ISO

The camera NEEDS to be on a tripod so you dont get any motion blur - and thats how you shoot fireworks

That’s an incredible shot! That you captured the trails up to the explosion makes it all the more incredible!

I love shutter drag and light paining. I shot this on July 4th at the lake.

Couple of shots from Memorial Day, was worried I wouldn’t get anything due to the weather but I think these turned out decent!

I love shiny water-covered surfaces! Your second photo tickles my brain in all the best ways. Thank you for sharing!

Okay. I just got back from a 10 day stint in the Teton/Yellowstone area so I’ve got a bunch of photos I’m going through and editing. Later posts won’t have this many in it, this was just the first few days that I’ve already got through. I think this may have been my most successful photography trip yet! All of these are shot with my new Fuji XT5

That second shot is unreal. My fave for sure. The contrast gradient from bottom to top with the calm water, choppy water, then the foreground hill, then the background hill, then the rock shadow, rock in the sun…

So many distinct layers. Love love love it.

Don’t think anything I’ve created has ever been used in a meme, so thank you!

Thank you! The trip started real strong, had a little lull in the middle with the weather, and finished strong. Can’t wait to get the other stuff up!
