ewwww, yeah you should definitely try to make arrangements to flop 2/19 and 2/20 so you arent driving back and forth…looking at basically 2.5 hours from CLT to Raleigh one way
keep me posted though, would love to catch up if possible

There were a couple of blank rows in the sheet, so I removed them, and moved the alternates cut line down two names.
(If this was a mistake, let me know, I saved an offline copy so I can put it back if need be.)
Congrats, @Carlitos, you are currently last man in. Aren’t you glad you jumped on booking travel now?
That might be a perfect bag.
Saw that too, but there are a few folks that indicated +1 or +2 so I figured the blanks were for those… but what do I know. The more the merrier!
Getting there Friday morning and leaving late on Sunday I am onboard for all activities!
Any guesses when the field might be finalized?
@hwhite If we don’t get in, we’ll just make our own event…with hookers and blackjack.
wheres the sign up for this one, I’m in
I love the sound of that!
Go ahead and add me to the google doc
If anyone is getting in too late on Friday for a round but wants to loosen up, there is a range and shitty little par 3 in Pineville called The Golf Village. What makes it worthwhile is the relatively new Middle James Brewing Company that occupies the space above. Range is fine, greens on the par 3 are not really puttable but some fun 80-150yd shots. We just grab a couple to go Crowlers from Middle James, and gamble closest to the hole until dark.

I will not sit here and listen to you sully the good name The Golf Village!
Fun spot, right? It could be so sick if they would spend a little money and get the greens puttable. Love some of the shots out there. Last time I was there a couple of the bunkers had legit sand which was great. Now that Middle James is there it could become an awesome little scene.
According to UPS I’m supposed to be getting my Original Jones Blind Draw bag delivered this afternoon. Should it arrive in time, and the rain holds off, I may just take it for a spin or two around TGV as the sun sets.
That is pretty sweet.
Ya I haven’t done the par 3 course much but that is my go-to range. Cheap. Always has open spots. “Grass”. Lights are clutch too.
Might be a slight problem with Mooresville for Friday the 13th (oh shit Friday the 13th)… their public events calendar is showing a senior golf league from 9am to 2pm. We may want to give them a ringer dinger to see if they could support our group:

I have never played it, but is the Harry L. Jones Sr. Golf Course out of the question for Friday?
Anyone want to play on Sunday at Sifford? Going to be a little chilly but not too bad
It’s definitely an option for Friday.
From the site:
The MGC Senior League is an organized group that plays every Wednesday and Friday with a shotgun start one hour after the first tee time.
Why would you have a shotgun start AFTER the first hour of tee times is on the course? Does the shotgun go off the first open tee at that time (aka inserting multiple groups ahead of groups that went off earlier)? Is it back nine only? Wtf?!
