Careful - you don’t want a reputation for adjusting HC whenever someone plays well… 
Handicap adjustments are pretty normal when someone puts up an exceptional score in the first round of an event.
Now, it’s easier to just say “we’re posting your scores from today and updating handicaps before play” rather than figure out what the adjustment should be with new handicap system. Having to work with a handicap committee is a pain in the ass. Ask me how I know
