Very unfortunate to lay a complete goose egg on the East course this afternoon, what a frustrating place to just completely lose your golf swing
@RolandOfGilead absolutely vindicated by Bob Vokey tonight, guy LOVES the 56 & 60 #lobber
And don’t forget about T.
East was tough…but I think pros will tear it apart. For me fatigue was in issue with just completely losing swing. Would have been interesting to play it 1st.
Love hearing people who qualified or got invited to the elite of elite NLU tournaments complain about set up.
I love that you think I’m there
It’s a tough course, I’m also an 8 index, so what Bruce had to say doesn’t exactly matter to me.
Everyone is playing the same course right? Why wouldn’t it matter to you just because you have an 8 index? Especially in an event where handicaps are applied.
I think it’s less about the competition and more about being able to not feel like your dick is getting kicked in every hole and have fun
My brother in christ, I don’t do this for a living.
I also won this thing last year
I’m very aware which is why I’m shocked to see you in here talking this way.
I guess I’m way off them because I thought the NIT was the one tournament every year where the competition actually matters?
Also, no one else controls how you react to a tougher set up than you, the person playing the course.
Look, did I make a semi-regrettable comment after playing a pretty tough Pete Dye course in 40-50 degree temps with mixed in sprinkles and wind and then driving 7.5 hours home last night. Yeah, maybe.
Was said comment tinged with a bit of jealousy and understanding that I’ll never get to play in an NIT and thus seeing people whine about it online rubbed me the wrong way? Sure.
I still stand by the spirit of my comment though. I’ll never understand people complaining about a course set up being too hard. But then again, I’m a masochist who travels to play Pete Dye courses on purpose.
Unfollowing the thread could help
And miss out on all the lore and inside jokes?
Take the good with the bad then?
Sounds like an absolute kick in the nuts to walk 36 like that. Tough conditions with the wind and brisk weather in the morning.
I’ll chalk this up as another victory for The Shark Experience
No doubt would have been the dick punching at least a little more comfortable.
The inside jokes are probably taking place in Texas
You will argue anyone huh
I feel like this thread was way less tense when we were arguing about Tex Mex. @Southpaw72 should we run it back to calm this place down?
