The only team under par right now

Bigger Alpha, Anne Walker or Greller?

Three shot lead after day one. 68, -4 for Rose to take a one shot lead. They didn’t count Rachel’s +4, 76.

Greyhawk Raptor, in my opinion, was one of the toughest desert golf courses. They all have the gravel areas just off the fairway where you’re very likely to have unplayable lies in bushes, but the green complexes at Raptor are no joke. Some long runoffs and deep bunkers. Seems like the kind of place that would really separate those who are controlling their irons and those who are not.

Caffeine is no joke on the course, had a front row seat to @Hwhite dealing with some shakes during a match awhile back.

Great first day for the team. Doing what they need to do to make the top 8 and advance to match play.

Rose’s 68 was in the more difficult wave. Wind was blowing in the afternoon. She’s so damn steady, can’t wait to see how she (and others) handle the moment as we approach Monday afternoon. My money is on Rose though.

My biggest question to the producing crew, @djpie where in the timeline of filming was the interview with Anne in her office?

It flowed so seamlessly with the enitre video considering how she talked about how great everything is right now and you never know how long it will last. Then to proceed to to show them break every scoring record, just found myself identifying them as a humble dominance.

That interview was Saturday afternoon

Just met Rachel Heck’s parents. In an absolute shocker to no one, they’re an absolute pleasure.

Coffee leads to poor decision making you say???

Her older sister played at Notre Dame and is now in med school. Abby didn’t have the game Rachel did, but qualified for a US Open after her senior year.

I had no idea how much of a golf family they were. I see she has a younger sister who is committed to Notre Dame as well.

Update: 5 am came pretty fast and the birds woke up at 4 am…we kept the pre round caffiene to a minimum but I did cheat on coachand have a cup on the way. Shot one over my cap with a fuck ton of 3 putts…

Coach might have something, jury still out.

Something of note: (I haven’t gone all the way back so someone who is better at research should double check me) I don’t think the number one seed has ever gone on to win the championship. I need to do some digging.

Seems like conditions and course are pretty tough. Scores are trending higher so far.

I don’t think this is right. Wind is fairly mild today compared to yesterday afternoon. Of the first six teams out, four are lower than yesterday. Stanford’s just not playing quite as well today.

So it’s just a really hard ass golf course then.

Yes, but also these aren’t pro golfers, especially the 3-5 golfers on most of these teams. +21 after four days was good enough to get eventual champ Arizona into the match play last year.
