To be fair to Coach Walker, her anti-caffeine stance applies strictly to ingestion prior to competitive golf. She doesn’t have a problem with it otherwise.

My pre-round pain relief routine includes about as much caffeine as a cup of coffee, and I don’t think I’d want to play without it, so for that reason…
Her accent boggled my mind too. My boss at my last job was a wonderful Canadian woman and she sounded exactly the same as coach Walker. My boss was from Halifax, Nova Scotia so perhaps there’s some kind of link there? Who knew the delightful Scottish brogue softened by years in the U.S. = Canadian.

Yeah, there were definitely Scottish tones in her accent but I caught the Canadian stuff as well. Otherwise was too busy enjoying her “mom” jokes.

My favorite was Aline Krauter speaking with what was a California, almost valley-girl, accent. When they flashed that she was from Germany on the screen, I was calling bs in my head. And then she speaks perfect German to her friend and my mind was blown.
Having a very specific accent in a second language without a trace of your first language is crazy to me.

I also conveniently forgot to mention I shot a smooth 91 at Del Paso in a tournament earlier this year and got DFL. Rachel only beat me by 28 so got that going for me. @GremlinGolfer had to remind me of it by posting it on Instagram today. I’d tried to scrub it from my memory
