The part that really annoys me is people signing up and then not having any notifications turned on for the board, dm’s, slack, etc., so there’s no good way to get a hold of them when they inevitably forget they even signed up

I sent the links to a few different non-Refuge friends. They were interested when I mentioned I was playing. Otherwise I’m very ok with paying a few bucks extra.
I think we may only need 3 more. Would be awesome to fill it up. If for nothing else, maybe they’ll have a good time and want to play more events in the future
Reality is, the $100 entrance fee would cover the full cost that we need even if we only have 28 players. The extra $400 is basically what our charitable donation would be. I fully believe anytime we have an event, we should use it as a reason to raise some fund for charity, even if it’s just a couple hundred bucks, so I’d love to not have to abandon that

Just as a heads up, if you haven’t looked at the forecast for Saturday, the heat index is predicted to be 103. For safety reasons, I’d prefer nobody walks, even in the morning rounds. I know we’re all adults and know our limits, but that kind of heat can really catch you by surprise. Also be sure to bring a large refillable water bottle. Trust me, if you’ve never had heat stroke before, you absolutely do not want to ever experience it
