Is that the same as the tree by the Capitol? I know we’re seeing that one.
Unfortunately my sticks will not be making the trip. I see rental clubs available, not sure if they will have any lefties but that would be a fun adventure

Ah bummer. Instead, wanna hit the new 5iron golf location? Indoor simulators and bar and shit, I’m sure they would have lefty clubs. Just opened. Right by the capital one arena where the caps, wizards and mystic play
We have him bring two trucks to our MG and MM every year. He is known only as the Chicken Man, and he is deeply beloved by our membership.
Can’t let a Chicken Man shout-out go by without posting this:
Re bumping our planned outing for Saturday morning at Langston. We have 5-6 players right now. We have room for 6 more. Tee times are 9:30, 9:40, & 9:50.

Really wish I could but we’ve got company in town. Hit em straight!
Their FAQ page on their site says they have lefty clubs. This sounds awesome! Good call
Which club is this and are you accepting new members?
Golf Club at Lansdowne, and very much so! Feel free to DM.
Thank you for the recommendation! Went there last night and it was delicious. That chipotle mayo is not messing around
They need to start paying @coozapalooza, he also sent me there the first time.
5iron in Gallery Place is so sick. We’re playing lahinch! @DevonCoates
I played @ National Golf Club today in Fort Washington. They have a member for a day deal I found on GolfNow for $45. It was decent, lots of holes that favor a draw so that was nice to try and work the ball right to left.
Place must be hurting for members as it a private course. I expected it to be better. Nothing to special. The single I was paired with said it’s your typical 1970’s golf course. The clubhouse is closed for renovations and two holes were shortened (one temporary green) as they were working on improvements. We were able to play thru two groups and finished in 3 hours. It was a pretty easy walk except for two holes back to back with some steep climbs.
Interesting to hear! I believe their membership is way more affordable than most other clubs, sounds like a get-what-you-pay-for situation. Not as many people living down that way south of National harbor too.
Have played NGC a few times, mostly scramble events, so not the best way to get a feel for a course, but I didn’t hate it. Probably not the worst location for weekend rounds, but forget about getting out there after work. IHH is a nightmare, even worse if you are coming from NoVA and have to cross the WW Bridge.
I’ve been a member there for just shy of a year now. Club’s struggling and membership is unhappy with management, but the course itself has greatly improved in quality while I’ve been there. Drains really well these days but there’s still a lot of work on the bunkers to be done.
The two shut down holes are going to be limited for a good while due to ongoing construction across the street (PG County is building a school and needs to increase the size of the holding ponds for drainage purposes). County closed the clubhouse down when they didnt finish repairs in time, and I’m skeptical it’ll be back anytime soon.
Thanks for the inside scoop!
DC folks—if you’re not already in the WhatsApp, but you’re interested in joining the local Roost, send me a DM and I’ll get you set up. We’ve already got some good and consistent weekend games going on, and through the next year we’ll be getting some more structured competitions with local folks and some of the nearby Roosts.
Plus I will be making 80’s hardcore punk style merch with our logo. And potentially tour visors of the rooster with a tour visor.
I need to get the app again, will get on that sooner than later.
If you need any help with anything don’t hesitate either.
anyone else need me to talk them thru this once I get it set up i can as well
Same thought here Tdogg. I’m in Waynesboro, maybe we can organize a group up here sometime this spring/summer. You a member at Chambersburg CC?
