I played the fox last year, there are a few head scratching holes on the back nine. I hit what I thought was the perfect layup and it bounded off the side of the mountain. I would rather play Shenandoah Valley if I was out that way.

Taking my Dad out to Wintergreen Stoney Creek for a round (both our first time there) in a couple weeks, any recommendation on which combo of nines? Right now I have the tee time for shamokin to tuckahoe. Considering switching to monacan to tuckahoe. Cheers and happy 4th weekend refugees!
Mon-tuck is my preferred combo I’ve never been too crazy about Shamokin

every time ive played there they only offered one combo, and the third nine would be closed, but that was all pre covid and with demand up they may have moved away from that

Buddy of mine and our 3 boys are going to do twilight 9 at Mariners at least.
Been able to play a few times while down so far. Went up to Lynchburg and already got in at Mariners. Better shape this year than last time I played.

If you’re interested, I’m a member out at Woodmore in Mitchellville MD now. It’s not the nicest place in the world but it’s an interesting, challenging (seriously, you should see how my average score has evolved over the last year) course.
You were, of course, very helpful in my move to DC, so I’d love to play 18 sometime out there.

Thanks! Courses in Maryland might be a bit of a trek from Alexandria to play on the reg but I’d love to get up there and check it out!
