Would be a pretty solid place for us to donate, maybe a local kid or something? I know one of the kids from Roanoke went to DCP finals at Augusta
The price tag was higher than I’ll ever get “value” out of, but figured half of the price is a pseudo donation which makes me feel good.
I sent my 13 year old through first tee here and its a great program that makes sure kids walk away playing with both integrity and having fun. Which is what the game really lacks on all levels at times, they are def a positive for the golf world.
After a year of COVID I think we could find a lot of Nesticles who are ready to donate their kid
We just got an offer accepted on a house so we will be moving to Mechanicsville. Hopefully after we move in by midMay golf season will be in full swing!

How was The River Course?
I enjoyed it. Its a bit weird as you don’t see the river until 16 but overall a good course and would play it again. I would wait another 3 weeks though, the dormant bermuda and course itself wasn’t in tip top shape but I feel in a month or so it’ll be awesome.
I am really glad to hear you had a good time. They were having a rough Go, with it being a hotel and all.
The rumor goes, Captain John Smith landed on #17 and said screw these hills, and settled on Jamestown Island The next day.
Yeah, the weird part of the course to me is that the less expensive homes (with a few notable exceptions) are on the River and the more expensive are on the lesser course the plantation.
Playing RNK at 10a tomorrow if anyone wants to join
looking like I will be there sometime in early may, cool pics
Throwing it ouchere again, got room for 2 at RNK this Saturday 8:30. Cheers!
finally got our challenger little league approved for jamboree weekend in va beach, so tidewater area for mothers day weekend it is. Def gonna be playing RNK on the way in and Im stoked about that.
Got 2 spots at 2:30 saturday at Ivy Hill near lynchburg if anyone is interested holler at me
I’ve always wanted to play Ivy Hill. It’s the course my dad played every day during his 20’s and went from never playing to a plus handicap. I try to avoid Lynchburg at all costs after having to go there all the time for family functions, but Ivy Hill would be an exception just because of the family sentiment. That being said, I’m out of town this weekend.
I too avoid the city of Lynchburg and jerry’s world at all costs…
Ivy Hill is owned by the same people who own my club, and thus we are allowed to play there for a cart fee too. its about 45 mins from me, but I can drop both kids off at my parents in bedford on 460 on the way. We get up there about once a month or so just to change things up, if you ever wanna play let me know.
Was I an undercover NLU scout 2 days before the boys arrived? Who could say? The tee shot on 15 still has me shook. How can a green that large be so intimidating for a par 3?
