What’s up everyone, living in the Boston area, but going to be be in Warrenton VA (can I say NoVA without sounding like a dweeb?) for a month during the holidays at the in-laws and hoping to peg it. No one in my wife’s family really plays so to the Refuge I turn.

Last year when we were down we had great weather and I snuck out to Stonewall and Bull Run. I thought both were good deals and in relatively good shape considering it was the end of December. I’d probably give the edge to Stonewall though in terms of design and conditioning.

Anyway, looking for people to play with or suggestions on where else to play in the area, thanks!

Haha I am really lucky and get along really well with them. It’s an easy formula, lot of martinis, vino, bourbon and of course, gabagool

My folks live on stonewall and @Brooksyw works out there. I am pretty sure I’m heading home for Xmas this year, if so we should link up for a game.

Looked to be in real good shape when I was home last weekend.

Has anyone played Raspberry Falls recently? Heard it was in tough shape after some severe weather in the last few months. Would like to try and get a round in out there, but want to make sure it’s worth it. Any other recs appreciated too!

Yeah I played it with my dad like a month ago. Was cart path only at the time and it was ok shape not great. It definitely was hit hard by the weather, as were most of the courses in the area. I’d say play it, but don’t pay an arm and a leg and make sure it’s not CPO anymore.

Appreciate that. Early afternoon rates look decent. If any DMV area folks would like to try and get out there after some morning Masters viewing, it’d be fun to put something together.

I’ll probably be glued to the couch for that whole weekend, but check this out for other Refuge local meet up opportunities:

I need a favor from all the central VA golfers. Please do not wash your car on Thursday, run your sprinklers, talk about how it looks like “the rain has moved through” or do anything else that might anger the gods of precipitation on Friday. I have a tee time at Kinloch on Friday morning. Please help me hold off the rain.

Thank you for your consideration.

Wouldn’t dare. Go crush it

Good luck! It is an awesome experience.

Anyone going to DC a for Josh’s Veteran’s Day tournament? I will be there.

I’m hunting all day friday and I can assure its gonna be nice out

Share the triumphs after Friday!

Guis - terrible news…Kinloch is closed until at least noon tomorrow. Won’t make the final call on the day until 10 am, but may be closed all day. Ts & Ps appreciated.

In high school, we used to dry our baseball field off with shamwow’s. If you need me to make the drive over there with some to get he standing water off the course, just let me know.

How big was your roster? How many shamwow’s did the baseball team own? Dab or rub?

“Pa…rain’s stopped. I have to go dry off the field” (grabs Shamwow on the way out the door)
