I like how he touts not being on a Top 100 as evidence its not a great course but spent all summer bashing the Top 100 rankings coming out here.
Also ‘,aside from maybe a public one’ is the most EAL disclaimer I’ve seen from not EAL

I’ve got an offer in on a house for all the YOTB participants who get kicked out by their spouses, and I may have that RV owner talked down to $100 for that piece of scrap.

As someone who did the drive to tobacco road and sweetens this year (two separate drives between December/January), can confirm that both places slap and are 100% worth the drive (also winter rates mean cheap golf and literally no one else on the course - saw 3 people at sweetens and didn’t see anyone else on the course at TR)

I’ve had a few pints and a little bit of the green, so while we’re talking about Canadian media personalities that suck I want to say this;
Bob Weeks is a fucking shitstain.
I’ve crossed paths with him a few times and never had a good experience but the worst was in the media room at the 2014 CP Women’s Open at the Hunt Club.
I don’t know how he got to where he is, because he’s definitely not the most knowledgeable person in the world when it comes to golf, and he’s certainly not a likeable person.

I’ll happily add to the list of Canadian sports personalities who rub me the wrong way.
Back when I worked proshop at my local course, I pulled into the parking lot for one open and there was already a car waiting in the lot, and of course it was in the spot beside where I always park. I’m getting ready to park beside the guy when the driver hops out and it’s Darren Dutchyshen. I thought ‘hey, I know him from TV, I’ll say whats up’. That idea changed very quickly when he proceeds to bend over and projectile yack in my space. Noped out of there pretty quick and absolutely did not bring it out when he checked in (he looked a little worse for the wear).
That’s not why I dislike the guy (he used to love to drop the ‘don’t you know who I am’ card to people who clearly have no idea who he is and just wanted him to pay his $45 green fee and leave the shop), but I feel it is important to share nonetheless

It’s insane. I payed $50 to play Dunedin in Florida (which was the least enjoyable round of golf I’ve ever played) and $70 for Tobacco which was as much fun as someone can have on a course
