Going to be down in Gulfport / Tampa area during Valspar, headed to tourney Sat and Sun, then sticking around to hang with family M-Thur. Looking to get in at least 3-4 rounds, will likely be 2 of us, my dad (69) and myself.
Suggestions? Right now plan to play Dunedin but undecided on rest of our courses. (Edit: have just seen the post about it being closed for reno after 3/24, so not sure if it will have any tee times…)
Would welcome any refugees to play with us or meet up at the tourney if y’all will be out there too!

Oh…… whew.
Headed to Anna Maria Island, FL for a week in mid-April and looking to get out for a round or two. Anyone know any good courses in the area that they’d recommend?

What week in mid-April? I’ll be down there too and am considering a day trip to Streamsong.
Week of 4/17. Would likely be aiming to play Friday 4/21 or Saturday 4/22

Hi all - most likely moving to Tampa shortly this summer. I have no relatives/friends familiar with the area, though. Anyone have any quick thoughts on areas to live/avoid? We most likely will just rent due to the market and potentially only being there three years, if that matters. Wife will be working near the airport, so don’t want to live too far away from that to make super long drives for her.
Look forward to hopefully playing some with those that live there. Pumped to get out of midwest winters for year-round golf again.
Hyde Park/South Tampa if you can afford it

I have a buddy who lives in the Carrollwood area north of the airport, seems like a decent area. Never lived there myself but been to his house a number of times.
