I read this Matt, Absolutely shocking. The thing I don’t get is Centennial Park, probably one of the largest green spaces in Sydney CBD is literally right next door and its never packed to the point that more space is needed!
Someone told me its the busiest course in Australia in terms of rounds per year, would be a shame for it to be lost!
I think you mean ‘just’ 60,000 rounds Matt
That’s a real shame. I used to enjoy playing Moore Park when I was a student at UNSW.
If you can’t justify the use case for Moore Park, which was extremely busy and in an area that already has copious amounts of park land, then a lot other courses could be in trouble over the coming years.
Shame to see. Played Moore Park on by trip to Sydney last year the day I landed to help fight jet lag. Neat little track.
If they cut it to 9 holes, hopefully the give it a face lift and pump some cash into improvements, but doesn’t sound like that is in the works.

I’m out in the heatbelt…live in Cranebrook and a member at Richmond off 7.9 ATM. Unfortunately the schedule rarely sees me get out too far from home for golf, but hoping that I can pencil in some day trips closer to the city for 2021.
Welcome @KristianJ. Picked a hell of a time to start interacting on the forum with it wrapping up in a month’s time
That said, I for one am keen to head your way for a round at Stonecutters at some point. Haven’t played there yet. Maybe sometime over the Christmas break?
@GMac Obviously I don’t lurk well enough…didn’t have a clue that the forum was wrapping up.
I’m in the wrong business for weekday golf in December (retail)…but I had Xmas Eve off last year and Stonecutters have Thursday open comps. I’ve played a Sunday there but it’s very slow going, but Thurs seems to move pretty well.
Definitely keen as well if the stars align and I can snag the right day off.
Technically it’s not wrapping up, just hitting a paywall…but carry on
Hi Sydnersiders,
Would you guys be more likely to buy from an Australian based store? Looking to bring some products in to help out golfers on this side of the planet, and want to confirm I am not the only one who would love to buy NLU stuff locally.
I would for sure and a few mates prob would too
Bayview GC member here, I live on the northern beaches. I’d be keen for a meet up at some stage if any one else is!
Would do for sure. Would settle for a group buy to split shipping.
Yeah would definitely be keen
Anyone from Sydney who joined the Nest in 2020 received their gift yet?
Not yet. Bought a couple of things from the pro shop and they arrived in about 2 weeks. Expecting my gift about a week behind the US give or take
Great news,
I am starting up an Australian based NLU store with plenty of different items to start and will keep everyone posted. Should be good to have 3-5 day shipping standard as a minimum to get your gear and small orders quickly to your mailboxes.
Enjoy
Hello Sydneysiders,
Wondering if there is anyone left from Sydney in the nest?
and if there is “wanna go launch 'em”?
Cheers
Looks like it’s gotten very quiet in these parts! But still in the Nest and in Sydney, always keen for a game
At least you guys still have a thread and some Nest members, I think there might be one other over here in the West
Nice one BaconFingers! where about’s in Sydney are you? I am in the Blueys (lower) but keen to play anywhere as long as it’s not crazy expensive!
Where do you play out there?
I grew up at Windsor GC and later belonged to Springwood and Penrith.
