I’ve been a member at Houndslake since July and have enjoyed having it as my home course.
I chose it over Aiken GC as my home course and I don’t regret it … but don’t tell @LukeBoatright.
Would love to have you down if you’re interested.
Out of curiosity … know anything about The Golf Club at Star Fort in 96? I know its for sale now.
Has been for sale many times. Is owned by the guy that owned (owns) timberlake in Chapin iirc.
Star fort has a LOYAL membership. It’s a long course - 6800 from the normal tees - and the cart paths are in terrible shape. The layout is good, the part 3’s are long, and the clubhouse is nice.
It’s the least nice golf course in our area, but it’s a great course for someone learning to golf.
Apparently Jim McNair from the Aiken Golf Club designed this new Par 3 course for USC Aiken and the First Tee. Had no idea til I saw George’s video. Looks great
Hello my fellow refugees. Former North Carolinian who now lives in Chicago here. Heading for a bachelor party in September in Charleston and a suggested course to play is Stono Ferry. Any thoughts on this or better recs?
