I’ll be there, thanks for setting this up

Thanks man. Slow going lately with a lack of travel but there’s plenty on there.

Barring the course being closed or very high rain chance I should be there. Plan to walk. Do we pay you or the club?

Very interested to see what a Kris Spence original turns out like!

Original is a stretch but it does look great. Waiting on the rain to let go and go check it out.

You pay the club.

Has anyone played Caledonia lately? Have a tee time for Friday and am pretty pumped to check it out. We are hoping it isn’t too wet like our course right now. I played True Blue over the summer, and loved it(aside from the part where they aerated and didn’t tell us prior. They gave us a credit though).

It’s been about a year since playing but drove by it yesterday. Everything was just as wet up at Pawley’s as it is down here. I’m not sure how well it drains, can’t remember what the weather was like prior to previous rounds there.

I think @FAB7115 played it recently. Not sure on the wetness.

I played it Super Bowl weekend, it was cart path only and wet from the precious rain. It drained okay in the fairways, greens were in great shape and rolling well.

Enjoy it, with the rain it will definitely be soft but should t affect play too badly.

Thursday weather is not looking promising at this point. Still in but if it looks to be a washout, I will let you know closer to Thursday.

I had a meeting get rescheduled so I am definitely out Thursday. Next time. Thanks!

Awesome, much appreciated. We might have to try @Akarito famous scooter golf carts. I’m pretty sure they have them there? Hoping it lasts more than 6 holes though…

The Sumter course has small opening in spring for preview play then opens for members this summer. Fully private sadly but looks awesome. Anyone play out of orangburg? I really wana check there out and also wana check out the course or Camden?

That sucked so bad…

It’s fixed now, and has made it around the course a few times now. Apparently the electric motor took a shit.

I have access to Orangeburg and Camden. Once Noah’s Ark passes us…let get out and play.

Course is still closed today (Tuesday). Let’s scratch Thursday and shoot for the Guest Day in March.

Sounds like the prudent play. I’d be happy to tag along at Orangeburg too. And of course, Holly Tree here in Gvl is open to you as well!

GV is a a solid track. There’s nothing overly special about it but it’s a good golf course. If you’re going to play the Mid-Am you need to try and see it once before Round 1. Some weird sight lines off quite a few tees if you’ve never seen it before (1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12 come to mind). Curious to see how they’ll play it…when they stretch it all the way out it can be pretty difficult.

That being said, like @tigergolftraveler said, it’s not worth the trip for the golf course alone but if you want the tournament competition, the course is good enough to be worth playing the event.

That would be awesome. Cheers. Are you out of Charleston?
