@jtshelley42 @Akarito and some others can help you out for sure.
We’ve got The Rail 2.0 that Saturday but some others should be around.
Welcome!

get your return flight changed and I can get you a ride up to the Aiken event on 10/22.
As much as I would love that, and I would love it a great deal, I would absolutely be murdered if I stayed until Sunday when our sales meeting ends on Thursday. Wife will be almost 9 months pregnant by then
Me and @BrysonsLats are heading to a wedding in Savannah in late october and thinking of flying into CHS a two days early to try and have some matches. Anyone have any suggestions for that area or in between there and savannah? Would be last thurs/fri of october. We may have a mega discount to the ocean course on kiawah but other than that and strapped courses not very knowledgeable of the area. Thanks!
what I am hearing is you are not committed to the game. V Sad.
The death of my game has been predicated by us having a third boy. In a few years’ time I may be more willing to risk certain death but I’m already just waiting under the guillotine after how much golf I’ve played this year
Figure out a way to stay an extra day and go to the CJ Cup at Congaree that week.
I’m already staying an extra day by leaving Friday afternoon
Alright, we opted for the sicko Strantz triple pack. Redeye into RDU Thursday morning. 1PM tee time at Tobacco Road. Trek down to SC that night. Wake up early for an 8AM tee time at Caledonia, grab some lunch and change out the socks to get ready for a 1:50PM across the street at True Blue. Roll into to Savannah post round for some cold beers
You may want to double check the logistics of this trip. Sanford NC to Pawleys island SC (Caledonia) are pretty far and then pawleys to savannah is also pretty far. Roughly 3 hours for both.
This is definitely a young man’s trip…
my search skills in the Refuge are trash but I’m sure this has been asked 100x before
Heading to Folly Beach for a week in Nov for my Mom’s 70th bday. Going to probably bite the bullet on playing the Ocean Course one day. Any recs on where to play another round down there? She loves to play but, hovers around 95-100 so I’m not looking for a gnarly Nicklaus course. Ideally something very playable, fun and at least mildly interesting from an architecture standpoint.
Is this still the best list?
Muni
Stono Ferry
Charleston National
Wild Dunes
Thanks!
National is going to be the toughest on that list, might not be enjoyable. But that list is where I’d start.
I would say Charleston National and Wild Dunes are hard, not necessarily interesting, and the farthest from you.
Stono Ferry is a decent lowcountry course and is the 2nd closes public to Folly.
Muni is shortish (esp the back) and pretty fun architecturally given it is a Muni and they’ve made it nuts.
Thank ya both, I appreciate it.
Heading down to Charlotte tomorrow. Looking like I’ll be able to possibly play Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Would love linking up with some folks. Also thought about driving to sandhills on thurs or Friday for a round. I’ll be staying Rock Hill after that. Let me know if you have plans or openings I’ll try to meet up. Looking to try and get lucky and play 2 or 4. Looking into the resort possibly to get on. Going to be staying near winthrop while in Rock Hill.
Just got back from a trip to Pinehurst. Only broke 100 once and my handicap still went down. Hahaha so friggin’ hard
I’m playing Heathland course at Legends Golf on Friday at 12:28. There are still 3 Hot Deal spots remaining if anyone is interested in playing.
Heading down to Beaufort for a wedding November 11th. So if anyone has suggestions on where to play or wants to get in a round let me know.
Parris Island (Marine Corps base) is the best accessible golf in Beaufort and open to the public. Used to be you get on base with a driver’s license and registration but it looks like they’ve moved to a pre-registration system post-COVID. Call the pro shop and make sure.
If you have car, Hilton Head National and Old South, both in Bluffton about 45 minutes south of Beaufort, are good options.
