In San Diego (no clubs unfortunately) for 3-4 days. Where do the locals eat and hangout?
Used to live in Bankers Hill (2014 so a while back) and I loved grabbing a beer/bite at Ballast Point in Little Italy or wandering down to Wet Stone for some tapas and some off the beaten path wines. The locals can probably give you more up to date stuff!
Hey there folks I’m traveling to San Diego around Christmas. Looking at airbnbs but don’t know the area very well. I was looking north of the city. Close to Torrey and seems like a good area for the beach? Taking any and all recommendations!
Sounds like La Jolla is a perfect fit. It will be pricy but has great beaches, torrey is close, tons of awesome places to eat.
Del mar area may also be good if you want those things but a little but quieter.

Not many Airbnbs in the area, but Cardiff and Encinitas are pretty great beach towns, IMHO.

I am at my in-laws for Thanksgiving and they live out in Valley Center. Where can I sneak away to for 18?
Went out there labor day weekend and stayed in Ocean Beach and it was pretty cool. 15 minute drive to torrey.

Depends how far you want to drive and how much you want to spend.
Native Oaks in Valley Center is decent although not sure what the conditions are like these days.
Welk Resort - Fountains is an executive pretty close by.
If you drive a maybe 10 mins further, Twin Oaks and Rancho Bernardo Inn are good options. Or if you are okay with something pricier, Maderas in Poway is a good option.

Mostly Torrey so far. Both great. Enjoyed Balboa, and have explored a few other fun tracks farther out.
