Monday the 22nd. Waiting for official confirmation of my tee time from their DoG, but it’ll be sometime that day.
9:16AM on Monday the 22nd.
If anyone wants to smack the ball around Deltona Club on Monday the 22nd, I’m booked in as a single at 9:16am. Would love some company!
Bugger. Am playing The Valley at Sawgrass that morning now.
Wasn’t meant to be. Sawgrass ain’t a bad spot to be though ahahahah
I’m going to be in Orlando February 23 and 24. What do you guys recommend for golf within a reasonable distance of Universal?
Going to be in the area February 14-22. Would love to get out with a fellow refugee. I really want to make the trek up to WP9 one day.
Looked up prices at Streamsong and holy shit, I did not expect that. Gonna have to skip that idea…
We have a roost event on 2/17 if you want to signup, it’s just outside of Daytona. I am happy to give you a lift there and back. Otherwise I am happy to join you for an afternoon loop at WP9 one of the days.
Shingle Creek is solid, would imagine rates will be pretty high though. Other places include: Eagle Creek which is closer to the airport, otherwise you’re not looking at much else that is worth it.
Looks like I’ll be heading down for the PgA show. Fly in Monday morning play Monday and Tuesday though. I’m sure the area will be bombed. But any recs for the short stay.

I was in town with friends last weekend and took your rec of checking out Deltona. What a place. The layout was incredible and course was maybe half full all day. Our foursome teed off at 930, grabbed lunch at the clubhouse, and took advantage of the $25 replay rate (I think the total golf per player was sub $70, plus $16 domestic 6 packs!) Greens were recently sanded so not in the best of shape and the overall course isn’t in great condition, but it was by far the best course I’ve played at that price point. I could easily see this place doubling the price if conditions were slightly better. A true hidden gem that I can’t wait to re-visit in season.
That’s awesome! I’m glad to hear it. I’m stoked to get down there in a few days. Good way to wet the feet for a sick week.
It is really a great layout but hasn’t been in a good shape in some time, really hope it turns around.
Either way, I’m gonna be stoked to play outdoors in January. That doesn’t happen in Canada except around Vancouver ahahah. It was -40F here last week! Not to mention the snow.
