Also last time I played Orange Lake it was in really bad shape
Reunion could be an option over ChampionsGate

Did a 3 day, 12 man trip to Reunion last month. Courses were in great shape, and fun to play.
Anyone free for a round on Wednesday the 13th. I’m in town for work and have that day off. Staying by the airport but can get anywhere!
My friend and I will be in Orlando/Ocala February 8th-12th for my Bachelor party! We’re staying right near Grand Cypress and as I’ve seen/heard, the 2 courses are a must play. We have some free golf set up at Country Club of Ocala, so we’re looking for another fun course, preferably one we can splurge on (or get a hookup at). Any help would be appreciated with the golf, along with a good whiskey store or cigar shop recommendation!
Shout out to @Big_RanDeer for some help already! Can’t wait to be down there and escape the Minnesota winters for a few days
Have a work conference in March at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee, which looks to be south of Orlando. Would like to get out to play 1-2 rounds down there with some coworkers and clients. Anything legit close by? I see Streamsong is about 1.5 hours south, which may be an option for 1 day. Thanks in advance
Anything else good to do in the Kissimmee area?
Grand Cypress. Orange County National, and Celebration are all solid options
How do your coworkers and clients feel about walking? Because outside of an ADA accommodation, Streamsong is walking only in high season.
Agree with Andy on Grand Cypress and Celebration, will add Southern Dunes as another good option a little farther south.
Not only is celebration a solid option, but also is literally less than 10 minutes from the Gaylord
Is there anyone on here that is a member at WP9 that can book times early? Trying to get a time for my 14 year old who will be down with my wife on the 28th and 29th, this thursday and Friday. I’m gonna try to book online but if anyone can help to lock it down for me I’d appreciate it.
Hey y’all! I’m a golf pro from Canada, heading down to Orlando for the PGA show in a few weeks. I’ve got a couple rounds planned already (Deltona, WP9), but I’ve got one day that I still have no plans. Any recommendations on where to go? Preferably something actually feasible. (I’m staying across the street from Bay Hill, it’s such a tease)
Good luck trying to play anywhere during the show, central Florida golf is absolutely nuts that week.
If you’re a golf pro, can’t you just call a country club to see if they can get you on? (Not being sarcastic. Just thought this was common practice.)
Yeah it’s nuts I know ahahah. I’m lucky that I’ve got Deltona and WP9 set up as it is.
You’re absolutely right in most cases. I could do that, but everyone and their dog will be doing the same thing. Especially at places like Bay Hill and such. The HP at Bay Hill doesn’t even have his email on their website, or the PGA of America directory (yes I did check), probably for this exact reason ahahahah.
What’s your max driving radius (time or miles) for a round? I’m guessing pretty good if you’re willing to go to Deltona.
Deltona is only about 45 minutes from where I’m going to be staying so that isn’t too bad. I’d say 1.5-2hrs would be the most I’d consider.
That kind of radius can get you lots of places that may not be inundated by the show. Southern Dunes in Haines City may still be a popular spot to the southwest. A little over an hour gets you to LPGA International. If you want to see some crazy elevation changes in FL try the El Campeon Course at Mission Inn. 2 hours gets you to PGA Village in Port St. Lucie, where your status may help you out on the rate and getting a tee time.
If you’re going to cash in a chit for a favor at a private spot, try Bella Collina.
Any luck?
I’m also heading to The Show (from Scotland) and looking to pick up a round.
Have Bay Hill (staying there), Lake Nona and Isleworth (both via Thousand Greens) lined up but looking for a recommendation in/around Orlando.
I mean you’ve got quite the lineup already ahahah. I’m staying across the street from Bay Hill but won’t be able to get on there. I messaged TC through Instagram about solid courses that you can actually get on in the area and he said Deltona which is about 45mins north of the convention center. Other than that I’ve got Winter Park 9 planned. Waiting to hear about the Saturday still
Will take a look at Deltona. When are you playing there?
