Anyone hear made a trip to forest dunes in the last year or so? Great experience? Looks like no caddies anymore?

Has anyone played Majestic Springs? I had never even heard of it until a couple of weeks ago. Majestic Springs Golf Club - Public Golf Course in Wilmington, OH | Golf near Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio

Great track it’s been a couple years since I played it but it’s a gem

Very fun course in good shape. Only issue is it can take a long time. They pack the tee sheet and when I went a few weeks ago it was a near 5hr weekday round.

Went back and ordered the 1/4 zip too. Mrs Browcoww thanks you for more random money spent on golf.

Speaking of birthday rounds I’m thinking of taking Friday off and playing. If you’re in sw Ohio and interested let me know.

I’ve been 2 of the last 3 years, including about 2 months ago. I love it up there, plenty to keep ya entertained from a golf perspective with the two courses, 3 if you play the Loop in both directions. Par 3 course is wild, and good vibes with the on-course music and outdoor patio area.

The original course is awesome, great mix of holes in the forest and holes in the dunes (pun intended). The Loop is pretty cool, and fun to play, but not everyone enjoys it. You’re spot on in regards to caddies, they are no longer, but they have scooters and the electronic caddies that follow you available. Bug spray is a must, the mosquitoes ruthless.

If you’re staying on property, the houses on #1 and #8 are perfect.

I don’t have any experience at Reid Park, but between 10 rounds at Stonelick, Heatherwoode or Majestic, I’d play Majestic 8 times and visit the other two once apiece. It’s not “great” golf, but I think it’s fun. It’s out in the middle of nowhere, kind of feels like a retreat.

I’m booked as a single for 730a at Shaker, there were 3 spots left when i booked yesterday. Site says they punched the greens on 21st, I’m hoping for the best.

I can’t play until I get my kids onto the bus. I’ll have to be an hour later.

What is the house on 1 called? We were going to do the suites cause we want to be close to the clubhouse but if a house is that close that would be the preference.

Played the loop (red routing I think) earlier this month. There weren’t caddies at least not that i saw but it was still a great experience. No mosquito issues the day we were there either so that was a plus. Also got a free pb&j sandwich at that half way house as we went off at 4 and they were closing up after we went through.
