Roll Call: Ohio (OATW adjacent) and localized ice cream debates (Part 1)

Too funny - highlights of the back for me were 10-13 and 16.

10-12 are nice. I just like the backdrop of the course in and around the apartments. You don’t really get many clubs like that around here with that look. I love 1-4 and the 8th hole, even if there are no bunkers on the hole.

I’m somewhat familiar after 3 outings and 2 solo rounds out there.

Hey stranger!

I know I finally made it over here. Now to actually play in an event

NE Ohio guys: have a 7:08am tee time on Labor Day (9/5) at Brookledge. 1 spot available. Would be happy to have someone here join in.

Any NEO folks need a 4th for Saturday? Earlier the better. Stuff looking pretty booked ATM.

Had a lovely time out at Double Eagle on Friday…and I finally made it to the Tiki Bar (J’s Hooch and Ho’s). We missed it reopening by a few minutes last time.

J’s is the best…because of Heidi and Todd! Hopefully you donated to the shake game as well.

Definitely made our contribution. Also brought a hat and a shirt!

Two spots open at Seneca Saturday PM at 3:20. Second group off after a scramble wraps up so should be an ok pace.

Coming to southwest ohio for the Queen City event and sticking around for a few days in Dayton to play more golf and visit family.

Anyone have suggestions on which pair of 9s to play at Yankee Trace?

Is Majestic Springs still the little gem in the middle of nowhere I remember from 10yrs ago?

We’re excited to have you for the Queen City event!

As for Yankee, Vintage is my lease favorite of the three nines, but I think they’re all pretty close. Majestic Springs isn’t a bad track, but really depends on conditioning this time of the year. I’d also recommend Beavercreek, Community, and Shaker Run in the area if you’re looking to branch out.

Community is also on the list, planning to try to hit both sides in one day. Spent my teenage years playing it over and over and looking forward to the nostalgia hit.

Shortened the trip to only a week this time but Heatherwoode, Jamaica Run, Cassel Hills, and Pipestone are also on the list to revisit in a future trip.

Did you ask her for tips for the Match Play Final?

heritage to legend is the play. Stay away from vintage.

Majestic is still highly regarded. I still need to get out there.

If any of you need another in Dayton on Sunday you LMK

Played Manakiki and Sleepy Hollow this weekend, and wow you guys are lucky to have these in your backyard. The courses were both in great shape, but wow the greens are so fast!

Thank you for the recommendations on places to visit, off the course. Had a great weekend in Ohio.
