Roll Call: Ohio (OATW adjacent) and localized ice cream debates (Part 1)

Is anyone going to Denison from SW Ohio as a day trip interested in car pooling? I am trying to make the date work but am a little burned out on long weekend trips. No problem kicking in for gas or a round at the course.

Bummed I’ll have to miss Denison for a wedding in Grand Rapids. Playing the U of M course and Pilgrims run while I’m up there tho.

I’m trying to work out.

Have a company car, so I’m to drive.

Let me know. I am trying to move a couple things on my schedule to see if I can go. Should know by the end of the weekend.

Do you have to try to sell something along the trip so it’s justified travel?

My mileage report will say networking.

Central Ohio friends…the move is official: German Village in Columbus is now home!!!

I managed to say goodbye to Sleepy Hollow about a week ago which was waaaaayyy harder than I expected. I’m not a particularly sentimental guy but that place was a sanctuary for me through both the pandemic and my wife getting sick. I hit the worst tee shot in the history of #17 mostly because the realization that Sleepy won’t be 25 minutes away anymore hit me somewhere around my weight transfer.

That being said, we’re back in Columbus - fun fact, my third time moving back to town lol! Looking forward to reacquainting myself with Denison, Apple Valley and 100% not Ray Memorial.

Raymond is truly the toughest of scenes. It’s been the closest course to me for about 15 years and I’ve probably played there less than a handful of times.

Played it two weeks ago in pretty good shape the front 9 is a little better than the back. Back is just mostly straight holes but good for the price. They also just reopened moss creek in Clayton as greywolf with plans on a new clubs house played there last weekend it’s in good shape

Dayton (or beyond if you are interested) peoples we need to make a tour of these.

How in the world is Moss Creek in decent shape? Last time I drove by it (like Spring) it was still fallow.

1 (maybe 2) spots open for sleepy hollow on saturday the 23rd at 7:30. You just gotta play with @quicktempo and myself.

Sorry to keep spam posting, but thanks so much for all the support from those of you that texted or messaged this week for the am qualifier. It was a lot of fun and it made it even more for fun to have you guys cheering for me. Sorry for the 11 and triple on my closing 9, but still proud of my showing at Moraine. That course is a special place. My wife enjoyed going back and reading the WhatsApp thread of the day while we were at the bar after a marathon 36 holes.

They opened first week of April, under a new name greywolf for 40 bucks it’s in decent shape hope they have some people there that know what there doing and it’ll help with the cluster it’s been to find a tee time around Dayton the past two years.

Huh, no shit. I’ll have to visit it again sometime soon. Won a Golf Channel am tour event there in my youth so I’ve had good memories even though it’s a bit of an odd bird.
