Seems like interest shot up during COVID and now clubs are cashing in.
Not a member but I looked around the dayton area 2 years ago and prices weren’t nearly as high as they are now. Covid had tee times so hard to get alot of guys I know that we’re on the fence about joining a club bit the bullet and just signed up I think about every club in Dayton has a waiting list, or is only taking new members that are referred by a current member.
God. I remember when Walnut Grove recruited me as a young professional member for basically $0 and a discount on dues all year because they were so desperate.
I was shopping around west side of Cleveland this past year. Dues and initiation are way up across the board. Supply and demand. Westwood and Lakewood are basically full and jacking prices accordingly. Lakewood is also reportedly going to be having some course work done soon so thumbs up on special assessments too. I think Elyria/Red Tail have remained “relatively” affordable on the dues front but their initiation fees are up too.

Our initiation has pretty much tripled, but no increase in dues yet.
We got hit with a substantial assessment last year though so I would imagine that’s the only thing holding off an increase.
Last year the special was waived initiation if you paid 9 months in full at start of year.
This year changed to 10K initiation. No monthly till May. I picked the right year to join.

Looking to get fitted for new irons. Columbus-area people (or elsewhere), has anyone had experience with Golftec or Club Champion? Or a club pro in the area that does a good job?

I looked around all of NEO for a junior membership and it was hard to find a club that hasn’t either significantly raised initiation and/or has a waitlist. Really crazy changes.
Had a great fitting with Chad Evans. Originally it was at TruSpec, but he was talking about starting his own business. He gave me is personal cell, so DM me if you’re interested
I went to club champion on Dublin-Granville last year, they didn’t have what I was looking for (Hogans) guy was up front about it and we called off the fitting at no charge.
Appreciated the honesty and not trying to talk me into something I didn’t want. Can’t speak to their actually fitting but they seemed to have a decent process.
Was also considering it last year until I learned how covid changed things and led me to this conversation with myself:

To piggy back off these guys I’d highly recommend Chase. Got fitted and bought a new driver through him in November and he gives you a pretty significant discount on the club(s) if you purchase them through him… basically pays for the fitting.

ALL orders have been fabricated. Direct shipments are all on their way unless you ordered in the
Last 48 hrs or are in Urb Rohlers due to a branding change. For group orders/ship to merch captains those will ship early next week
Once that’s complete I’ll be opening up a special page on my website where anyone can continue to order tags on a one-off direct ship basis. All participating roosts will be available for the collector types (as well as the option for cherry/oak) and that will remain open indefinitely for any stragglers/new roost members/etc
