Roll Call: Ohio (OATW adjacent) and localized ice cream debates (Part 1)

Howdy all. New-ish to Ohio (moved to the south Dayton area around a year ago). Haven’t been able to play a lot of golf lately with a new job and new baby, but looking forward to using this group as an excuse to get out of the house and get a few rounds in.

I’m in Kettering so definitely on board with hitting the course with you this summer. Welcome aboard!

What’s your favorite pizza place in Dayton?

My friend do you sample the local Dayton pizza places when you come north? Donatos is good but there is better to be found.

Hypothetically, how far south into your great state would I have to drive in order to play an open course on Sunday?

Sounds like you’d have to go all the way to Cincinnati, Kentucky if you want to play. Make a pit stop at donatos on the way down to break up the drive.

Old Scratch though?

Had to look up what this was. Do you typically get any actual pizza with your platter of pepperoni?

Lol no just complimentary tums and milk.

For me these are the top three pizza joints

  1. Hoagies pizza on Dixie
  2. Flying pizza either downtown or by wright state
  3. Joe’s pizza on airway, grew up in Riverside so this one is biased

Guis, it’s Marion’s Piazza, easily.

Kramer’s will do as well.

Also Old Scratch is trash.

Blasphemy

Let’s keep the food talk behind the paywall please. No one should get local pizza takes for free.

Marion’s is good but way to expensive for how small the pizza’s are

We’re all in the Nest here, right? Lorain has the best pizza shops though, don’t even think about arguing.

The Roll Call thread is in “community center” which is visible to every person in the Refuge whether they are Nest members or not.

What a faux pas by myself.
