No worries. Maybe next summer we do a big Refuge weekend out at Sand Ridge. We can rent the three cabins out there (4 separate suites in each cabin) and really do a thing.

Orrrrr, even better idea… At some point next year, I would be down to host/coordinate a Tour de Brick’s Ohio courses where we do Sand Ridge on a Friday evening (the place really pops for twilight rounds), stay in the cabins that night, caravan to Canton Brookside for a Saturday morning round, then head to Moraine for a twilight Saturday round and a bonus Sunday morning round.

That sounds absolutely amazing. That’ll give me enough time to get some wacky golf accessories custom made. On my recent trip to bandon I bought 1890’s short-bill umpire hats (replicas, so not as authentic as I would like) and had them embroidered with “first place” and “last place”, hoping that whoever was in first and last in our trip long game would wear them. Apparently I was the only one who appreciated them.

So, @schirmert and @LJP have expressed some interest in joining me to play Denison GC some Saturday in July. If there are three of us already, I’m betting there might be a few more. If you’re interested, please either speak up here or message me directly, including your available Saturdays. Since Independence Day is right around the corner, let’s propose the 13th, 20th, and 27th as candidate Saturdays. I’ll do my best to find a weekend that works for as many as possible, and co-ordinate tee times.

I’ll happily play Denison every weekend. I bought a membership, after all, and I adore the course. There’s also August, September …

The summer is going to be tough for me schedule wise, but I’ve really been wanting to make the trip down from Cleveland to play virtues (and see that big basket) and it looks like this would be the perfect opportunity to join for a round at Denison. I won’t be able to nail down a weekend yet but I’ll reach back out when I figure it out

Yo… anyone playing in the U.S. Am qualifier at Coldstream this year? Anyone secretly a member of Coldstream or know any way of getting on there aside from the designated practice round time? I’ve never been there, never played a U.S. Am qualifier, so I’m trying to get plenty of practice in there beforehand, just to be familiar with the course
I would suggest getting the pro at your local club to write a letter. Offer to pay guest fees and see what happens. If you’re available on a Monday, you might get on free. It has been many years since I played it as I tagged along with a friend who worked grounds. Walked 18 holes with no issue. @BamaBearcat has a lot of good tips on this type of thing. He posted in the thread about playing at country clubs a year ago or so.

It is. I’ve added you to the list. Looks like I might be hosting a handful of Refugee meetups at Denison in July/August. I’ll nail down some dates after we get through the Independence Day weekend.
