@tylernichols91 Are you still interested in a Wilmington Muni meetup next week?

Ton of history at Highlands CC - Ross designed the course and Bobby Jones’ father was one of the original founders. Pretty short course and can’t speak to much beyond that. Grandparents lived in Cashiers for 30 years and it’s a wonderful area

In case anyone in the Raleigh area is looking for a push cart:

No offense if those are yours that you’re just posting here, but that seems like a lot for how old those things are. Would’ve thought $150 for both would make more sense. Not up on the used pushcart market, just basing that off how old they are and how much you can get other ones new for.

Not my post but just wanted to share since I know some places are walking only and these have been in high demand recently. Seems like a decently fair price though, from the pictures they seem to be in good shape.

Had the pleasure of playing Mimosa Hills with @anon29849602 on Saturday. We walked 27 holes in about 5 hours (he walked even more after I left). Both of us flushing our shots on 6 on our 2nd loop while Kevin Kisner’s caddie was grinding putts on the practice green behind the tee box was a highlight. I don’t think I’ve been so nervous over a shot for no reason before.

I enjoyed it so much that I just sent my membership packet in, hoping to take advantage of the promo.

If i was in Raleigh, I’d be all over those pushcarts because I cant find them anywhere online and I foresee a lot of 36+ hole days in my future at Mimosa.

@anon29849602 getting in the #speed slot on 8

7 green with a pretty diabolical pin location.

Hey man, they are allowing guests again so we need to get out there soon! Gonna try and get down there this saturday or sunday.

Assuming they accept my application, I’d probably be up for a trip back there this weekend.

7 has a nice back left to front right Slope I think? Definitely a sucker pin to fire right at it but accessible if you can move the ball. The brilliance of Mr Ross!

Think I’m going to try out Glen Dornoch and save Wilmington for a little later.

Kayaked today to a beach on the otherside of intracoastal from Glen Dornoch. Course looked prime and saw some mean pins including one back pin that was a few yards from drop off into the water

Yes definitely slopes left to right. I was about pin high left, just off the green, putted it off the green, and was saved by a sprinkler head from rolling all the way down into that death bunker on the right. The sprinkler head was deeper than the holes with the noodles in them.

Definitely demands precision, if you want to be a hero an easy birdie is the reward for a well executed shot. If you miss by even a hair you’re down in that collection area short right and you’re extremely unlikely to get up and down from there to that front right pin. Such a great hole.

Love it! Hopefully getting up there Sunday for a big day! Need revenge on Master Mimosa

i’d love to sign up. what’s the process?
