Roll Call: North Carolina

Anyone in Charlotte looking to get up this weekend? I can play Saturday morning (Dinner at 6:30) or anytime Sunday.

Cheers

mayyyybe later Sunday? Not sure on the timing though as have family in town, they may be rolling out noonish or early afternoon.

PSA that may be useful to those in this thread: Mid-Pines and Pine Needles are doing aerification at various points in late June/early July.

Aerification rates at both: $50.

Just booked a Saturday, July 13th tee time at Mid Pines which appears to be the last day the aerification rate is available there – goes back to $175 on 7/14. Figure by the last day of the aerification rate, greens will be almost back to normal. Pretty solid deal for a Saturday mid-morning time, imo.

Mid-Pines aerification rates: July 4-13
Pine Needles aerification rates: Friday, June 28 - July 7

you any good?

my only meet up with a refuge member i learned he won the DIII national championship and lost a US Open local qualifier in a playoff a couple weeks prior to our meeting

needless to say he beat the brakes off of me, but was real nice and humble about it haha

i kind of want to buy that 10:15 as well just so we can hit balls into your group all day long

Guys in my group would be so confused, all while I just chuckle and tell them to seek refuge

Nah, I’m about an 18 and the number of beers drank usually exceeds fairways & greens hit

Did you guys get out yet, or are you going this weekend? Unfortunately, I have to work all weekend. But LOVE the idea. Think it would be great to get a semi regular outing going in the area. Definitely in for future rounds.

Thanks for the heads up, we are getting on a little earlier, but even with punched greens it’s a great deal.

The greens will be fine by then fairways maybe not so much but you will enjoy no matter what

Triangle people…

Are they any good public, relatively cheap clubs that host weekend tournaments 1-3 times a month? Either rotating courses or most events at one course is fine.

Oak Hollow is in good shape right now, greens are a little soft and spongey, but good deal to ride 18 for $25
