Come to the muni meet up man!
where you at in VA? Iâm outa south roanoke area off 220
went to a wedding there in the fallâŚits certainly beautiful, i can confirm that much
Bumping for tomorrow night at Moosehead! Roll Call: North Carolina Letâs get some Wings, anyone in Charlotte.
Gotta workâŚ
Any interest in UNC Finley this Saturday or Sunday? Have a voucher that needs to be used by 2/28 so this will be last weekend I can use it.
I am in Bristol, VA. Very close to the TN border.
Got extra vouchers?
Sadly no.
Gotta say, Iâm shocked that some of the university courses around here donât seem to have winter rates. They must get plenty of play regardless
Yeah, Iâve resigned myself to only playing them every now and then. Makes me cherish places like Hillandale.
As wet as itâs been the only places worth the last 2 winters are in the Sandhills.
Gotta get my $45 worth. I donât hate that price for Finley really⌠too bad you canât find it for that cheap regularly
I agree. I think Finley is a fine course. I enjoy it. But at $85+, it just isnât priced like it should be, IMO. But like you said, they must be getting enough people. Although, if they just did $60-65 on a weekend, they probably wouldnât have to fill their tee sheets with groupons.
Nobody loves Carolina more than me but I will NOT pay that ridiculous rate in February. We just walked Southern Pines for $25 and theyâre both an hour drive from Fuquay⌠Iâd rather play there 3 times to Finleyâs once.
No offense to @raleighdawg. Use that voucher they charged me enough for tuition, I may have a grudge.
Exactly. Paid $85 for Pine Needles last week which I think is reasonable for a course with that pedigree.
Finley & Lonnie Poole are consistently priced $30-40 above any other course in the area for no discernible reason imo other than maybe slightly better conditioning and 7,000-plus yard layouts? Crazy.
Finley wonât let me make a tee time as a single so Iâll probably just call and tell them I have 2 lol
Itâs ridiculous that Finley doesnât have a 9 hole rate in the summer. Fuck that place and I just try and walk on and play for free. They donât have a starter 80% of the time and donât seem to care about really anything.
Sandhills is the only place to go in the winter.
Hey guys, Iâm heading down to visit my best friend who moved to Charlotte. Reading above, it seems the like the public scene isnât too great. My buddy has taken me to a few nice private NJ courses before and I would love to surprise him and return the favor. Any chance there are any fellow Refugees who can help us get on a private course in the area?
you dont have to use the voucher prior to expirationâŚthey will allow you to use the value of the voucher, $45 after its already exprired
if your voucher came with a free replay or something like that, you will loose that, but the voucher itself can still be redeemed for the value
Posting this here for the NC guis.
Is that your experience with GroupGolfer vouchers?
I think the context may have been there arenât many public options in the city limits. There are plenty of good public courses outside the 485 loop. If you donât get any hits back on a private hookup, let me know what you like in a course and I can get you a list of public options.
