Roll Call: North Carolina

Charlotte is as far from real NC as it gets imho.

What does this mean to you?

Hyland Aerial, the main part of the course (holes 3-7, 11-17) is at the top and the land is much more dramatic than what you see from US 1.

i couldnt agree with you more

I will second the suggestion of doing a meet up in the Greensboro area.

Where do you play your golf? My dad lives in Jamestown so we’ve played Jamestown Park for years and Oak Hollow to switch things up…dad likes to go down the Holly Ridge on occasion.

Your pops has good taste. I play Jamestown the most as it’s the closest to me. Buddies and I play there once a week and i love holly ridge was well.

Will play just about anywhere I can, but those are two of my favorites for sure.

Let me know next time you’re up visiting.

Will do!

Just listened to the Carolinas recap pod. Nice shout out to @Double_Bogey_Dave

Has anyone been up to Lynrock Golf Club in Eden? Its along the Dan River and I met the owner at the Dog Bar in Greensboro. Super nice guy, said his greens are in tippy top shape.

Would love to run up there and play sometime.

IN for a Triad meet up

never heard of it, but it looks pretty decent

bent grass greens and bermuda fairways that are overseeded with rye in the winter apparently

sounds like its worth the trip up there

i also want to check out cross creek in mt airy sometime, looks real legit

He said its nothing hard or crazy (don’t think its a championship course by any means) but he did emphasize the conditions. Par 70, Barely 6000 yards, so it might be kinda fun…

Cross Creek does look nice. Guess I’ll wait for this rain to stop  for more than 1 day in a row.

9yo and I are playing in a fun Parent/Child at Longleaf—wet as it’s been I’m sure it’ll be a great introduction to tournament play for her.
