He gave me permission to share these since they don’t give him away. This was Saturday at Charlotte FC. He also snuck down and sat courtside for the Hornets - Wizards game the same night. I have video of that one but it won’t post here.

I had a friend (he is dead now) that would drive up to courses, walk in and say he was an assistant pro at XYZ or worked at XYZ and wanted to play. We would wait in the parking lot. More often than not he would come out with cart keys. However, the group got removed from Chanticleer one time and when young they got booted from Somerset in St Paul MN. Both times the club had called to verify after they teed off. Other times he would send the bill back to the public course we grew up at. Did this at Champions in Houston. He was quite the conman. Ultimately caught up with him but when we were young he got me and others on lots of places.

My guy @TheGolfNomad and I are playing Tot Hill Farm at 9:20 on 3/31, and Tobacco Road at 9:24 on 4/1 if anyone wants to grab the other spots for those times so we’re not playing with rando randos and just Refuge randos.

Hello, friends!
I will be out your way at the beginning of April (I may or may not be attending a golf tournament a couple states south of y’all the second week of the month) and am looking to tee it up. So far, I only have Tobacco Road booked on Monday. I would love to get out to MP, PN, or SP on Sunday as I think I’ll get in a day earlier than anticipated. I have no idea if there is even a chance that those courses have openings this close to when I’d ideally be playing (Sunday, April 6). I’ll call tomorrow to see what it looks like. If there are any openings though, I’d love to tee it up with any of you fine folks. Let me know if you’re interested any we’ll figure it out. If MP, PN, and SP are no gos, I’m open to ideas of where else we can play. I’m likely flying into Raleigh, so I’d like to keep it relatively in that portion of the state.
Never been to the state, so I’m excited to check out your neck of the woods.

A follow up:
I was able to book a spot at Mid Pines for Sunday, April 6 at 12:05. I only booked a single spot for myself but that time has one spot open rn. There are also foursomes after 2:00ish it sounds like. If anyone wants to join, let me know and I can either add someone to the 12:05 or move back to 2 or later if there is more interest.

Anything near Raleigh a must play? After pinehurst I have TR then a time at UNC on sunday. Monday I was going to play Duke before my flight. Lonnie Poole just be jammed up or use Monday morning for Maintenece. Wasn’t sure if there was another option or if I should stick with the plan of Duke

I don’t technically they wouldn’t let me book as a single but said I should be good to go just need to call Sunday afternoon. Sounds like I’ll just stick with that plan then
Lonnie is becoming almost impossible to get a time on and I do believe Monday mornings are for maintenance. Duke is really good though. I don’t think you’ll regret playing there.

Is anyone a local to or avid player of UNC? I absolutely loved my walk there but unfortunately the pro shop was closed by the time I finished. Would have grabbed some things, I enjoyed it that much. If anyones going to be out there soon I will compensate for mule services no question
