leaves are still up then all good

who hurt you?

Have you seen his flow? Good chance Mike Strantz is his real dad. What year was he up there working on thf again?

Unless Strantz has a course in Hawaii we donā€™t know about I would doubt it

Also a Strantz course in Hawaii would be sick

Cherokee is depressing. I would go somewhere else. The casino is the only thing there. The Ruthā€™s Chris there is damn good thought. If you hit ball off the fairway at Sequoyah it is gone or you are snake bit.

Thank you sir. Iā€™ll switched to the other side of uptown based upon this a gross parking charge.

Iā€™ll definitely drop a line the chat when Iā€™m there!

Gonna be in Charlotte next weekend for the Jo Bros concert.

Suggestions for a round either Saturday or Sunday morning?

bumping the thread to hopefully get some of the CLT folks, someone might be able to host somewhere. Rocky River is the only public course I know in the area because I played it in a work outing once, it was decent although I have no clue what their normal greens fees are

Updating some bunkers at Asheville Muni.

Also, though I had suggested bulldozing #10 and leaving the course as a 17 holer, moving the tee box to the right was a better idea.

The old tee box was up on the left, which made the tee shot just awful. Way better now.

Driving down to Kiawah in late October, and we are looking to play some where just off 95 on our way down from DC

Found this place Bayonet at Puppy Creek near Fayetteville

Anybody ever play there or have recommendations close to 95.

Raleigh is a little too much off 95 for the guy driving

Havenā€™t played either of those but Keith Hills would be a solid option 20 minutes off 95 around the Dunn/Benson area.

Bayonet is meh and kind of pricey for what it is last time I played it.

Keith Hills is a good option with 27 holes.
Also have Coharie in Clinton which is a fun but tough track or Benvenue in Rocky Mount.
Others may have better knowledge of NE NC golf.

Benvenue in Rocky Mount if you can get on. Belmont Lake is pretty good in Rocky Mount too. Wilson CC would be a fantastic get if you have a way on there. I played Santee Cooper CC and it was OK but Iā€™ve heard Santee National is a good course.

Bayonet is a good stop! It is about 30 mins from our house and the only reason we donā€™t play there more is just because of living in MooreCo and the abundance of riches in courses here. They just redid their greens this summer, which will fix the only issue they really hadā€“so greens may be super firm when you come through.

As @JNorwoodFive says, Keith Hills is another good stop on the way. It is a little scrappy conditioning wise this yearā€“nothing awful, but not as good as normal.

Other possibilities: if you have private club connections (and I think you do), then a pro to pro call to play Benvenue in Rocky Mount would be my first choice. They tend to be pretty accommodating to outside play. Another option is Wilson County Club, if your pro gets you on there a stop at the Beefmastor Inn (thatā€™s the correct spelling) is mandatory.

If you want to be adventurous and just get out for a walk, try Country Club of Johnston County, conditties can be hit or miss, its seen better days, but has some really fun/quirky holes.

Hey all. I put my own thread together for this but had a recommendation to post here. Iā€™m heading down to Pinehurst for the first time from London, Ontario, Canada for a solo trip. I had some travel points expiring so I figured Iā€™d use them on getting to a great spot.

Iā€™ve just recently finished grad school and my budget is basically limited to green fees. Iā€™m looking at just bringing my tent and staying at a campground, but the closest one is about 20 miles away. Iā€™d like to be in walking distance (5 miles or so) to Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Mid Pines, Pine Needles and I really donā€™t have the funds to stay at one of the resorts or any Airbnb etc.

If anyone living nearby wouldnā€™t mind a friendly Canadian staying in their backyard from November 16-19, I would be eternally grateful and Iā€™d love for you to join me on any of the courses. Happy to buy you several beers as well. Thanks!

This fires me up. Good on you.

I may be able to help.

Will you have a car when youā€™re down here?

@Harper Amazing! I havenā€™t decided. Leaning towards no and just taking the shuttle to and from Raleigh but if it would make a big difference I would consider it. Feel free to DM me.

I canā€™t help with lodging but if ya want to tee it up, happy to jump out there with ya!

When are you headed down?

@cgroom and @rkris might be around too
