Anyone know any Saturday games in the greater CLT area?
As in big betting games or as in just meet-ups? Your best bet would be the CLT WhatsApp group. Always stuff going on in there.

Are there any practice facilities in or around Wilmington? Iām looking for a green with bunkers that I can hit from the sand and chip on to from just off the green
Magnolia greens in Leland right outside wilm has a pretty good practice set up

I went to Ironclad when I was in Wilmington last (May of this year). I got there around 530 and was told the driving range closed at 6 everyday to pick up the balls and that I couldnāt get a bucket because it was so close to 6. They had one green out front that had people filming a promotional video on it.
It didnāt leave the greatest impression but maybe things have changed since May.

Has anyone played Greensboro National lately?
Cape Fear National has the best facility in the area, full range, putting green and two chipping greens with bunkers. Right across the bridge in Leland

Itās still shit and has been shit for 15 years, the new owners have a tough task ahead of them and it will be a couple of years to get it back if they can.

Castle Bay in Hampstead has a decent short game area with a bunker and several faux greens to chip and pitch into/onto plus a grass driving range.

Do you think itās worth the price? I see you get lessons/trackman/swing overview during the morning, and then go out and get a round each day. Plus 3 meals a day. I just canāt decide if I would rather just go back and play 2,4,8 and 3 plus the Cradle again, and then find an instructor on the side.
Hard to say. I havenāt looked into pricing in several years. Assuming pricing would be generally the same for the golf, I guess it depends on whether you want a āguidedā experience with some forced interactions with other āstudentsā or if you prefer a choose your own adventure type of experience.

Absolutely I want to get back out there. Iām planning my wifeās birthday dinner so I think the weekend of Nov 20th is out for me, it would either be that or the following weekend. Hopefully Iāll have a date nailed down in the next couple of days but if you end up booking something and need players let me know.

I leave NC Nov 17 so it would be earlier in November. Not sure how that impacts your ability to play.
Iād be down to play the weekend of the 6th or the 13th, any of those saturday-sundays. During the week is tough because of work. If you end up going one of those days just let me know
