I have dinner at 8:30 that night…3 hour trip…even if we don’t tee off until noon and we pretend it’s a long 5 hour round, that brings me back home by 8pm in time for dinner, i’d put money that it would be closer to 7pm

Used to be a member, wonder if I know who you’re playing with. Anyway, driver isn’t really necessary, it’s through a housing development and it has OB everywhere. They have bent greens that should be prime right now but they have had on/off maintenance issues forever. Important things to know;
2 - hit something 200 yards off the tee
4 - favor left side if you go for the green in 2
5 - don’t mess with the pin on approach if it’s back right
6 - just hit something at the tree off the left side of the fairway
7 - plays 10-15 yards downhill on approach
11 - favor left side off tee, don’t hit more than 200 yards or you’re in a valley. Don’t be short on approach or your ball will roll 30 yards down into the valley
17 - hit your tee shot up the ride side, second plays 10 yards downhill
It’s super gettable if you have a good day off the tee, enjoy!

The 12/21 Update:
Good Morning Folks,
Another update coming in hot to the inbox, and this time asking for some actions as well. First, we might be looking at high 50s on the 31st. Good ole NC coming in clutch with the year round golf.
Ok, but to the serious part. The goal this week is to get the final number over to fine folks at Tobacco Road and to finalize the numbers for the games as well. So what do I need from you?
Actions:
- If you are marked as “maybe” in the sheet, this is the time to take the plunge. But for real would love to have you, just looking to get final numbers by 12/26. Or if you have other people you wanted to invite, again just get it in by Friday.
- Mark on the sheet what games you are in on, just put a “1” in the column of the game. If none, please put a “0” in all the columns so I know you saw it. If you don’t know what the games are, there is a tab for that as well. This is to help determine the number of gift cards and such to get from TR.
- Based on what games you are in, venmo me (@tlawler) the amount. $10 for quota, $5 Straightest Drive, $5 for each closest to the pin. If you don’t have venmo just let me know and we can work something out.
Other updates: We got the tee times moved up to 10:30am on. So we should be all good with daylight and warmth! There is a ‘Scoring’ tab, which is not a priority yet, but if you want to determine your course handicap and quota you can use that sheet to do so.

Just signed a contract on a second home in the Pinehurst area — excited to get into this thread for at least part of the year! New place is 18 minutes from TR, 18 minutes from Pine Needles and 22 from the resort. We like that!
If anyone in this thread is a member of a local club let me know. Right now seriously considering Pine Needles and Mid-Pines so welcome any thoughts o those or alternatives (reply or DM).
